They will get more viewers doing it this way than having games on in the middle of the afternoon.

You have to just hope you are in the right zone for the game you want to see.

You must be new to the tourney Wileout this is standard for sweet 16. One reason is it gives the network and affiliates more control over which game to show in which regions which equals more advertising dollars.

same as with any playoff in any sport. its during primetime so they can get the most viewers and the most advertising money
