Hi, I read your thread and was wondering what you mean by rubberbands. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question to you but it's nice to be able to make sense of what I read.

I agree with you on Memphis -4.5 though. I have them in my bracket in the final 4.
Do you think the books might change the spread till then?

Vreston, a rubberband play is one so big you need to put a rubberband around the money, been described many ways, but its my way of saying this is a can't miss play.

Line will probably be 5 at tipoff..

really like Missouri in this game. Missouri will eat Evans' lunch IMO. Missouri has been in the shadows of the Big 12 all year and they'll step out of it this week IMO. Is there another play Landers?

I don't know about the play of the year, but Mizzou is lucky to still be in the tourney after their 2nd half choke against Marquette. I like Memphis to win, not sure about the cover. GL.

Marquette has a couple guys that perform in the clutch and I dont think Memphis has that. Tyreke Evans won't be able to handle the press that Missouri will bring IMO. He isnt a true PG and that was obvious to me before he even came to Memphis.

Memphis has not been real close to losing, when they played a team like Memphis, i.e. Kansas, they got their clocks cleaned.

I Memphis doing much of the same with their superior athletes. This is a final 4 capable team, Missouri is not.

They played a shitty Maryland team and a a 15 seed that pushed them pretty hard. Not a big deal, but they havent played a team worth a shit in months. Missouri has been underrated all year (in the shadows of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas). The full court press will be too much for Evans because he shouldnt be a primary ballhandler

Vacation was Forced from work, they did cutbacks that way instead of layoffs, was paid too, but everyone had to take 3 days, now 10 more between Apr 1 and Sept 30th, not all that bad really.

Was on the road some, went to my folks house, their internet was down.

I think this game is far from a lock. Have you actually been watching these teams recent games?

Missouri has been playing tough in the big 12 and the tournament...the only real team Memphis has played is Maryland, and they have had some trouble at times even with the weaker teams (especially in the first half).

Missouri is a tough, physical team that can also get up and down the floor and shoot the ball well. This will NOT be a cakewalk for Memphis whether or not they win the game.

Evans is 6'6", he'll be able to pass over the top of Mizzou's press. Then Memphis has the athletes to take it to the hole once they break the press. Yes Mizzou has a good D and can force turnovers, but I don't think Memphis gets enough credit for their D. When it comes down to it, Memphis has better athletes and will dominate Mizzou.

Hahaha you wouldn't believeeeee what happened to me today. I was thinking about you rubberband play and I couldn't remember what it was. All I rememberd was you posted it like 2 days ago so I was like it wasn't yesterday so it must be today. Then I realized oh yeah it's Baylor. So I went extra heavy on it. I get home look at this thread and it said Kentucky I was like oh shittttttttt. I look at the score not only did they cover they won by 2 pts. What a greaaaaatttt way to end a 18 game losing streak huh. Especially knowing tomorrow you have another definite winner
