Who has UCLA going to the sweet 16? I do. Seeing that line I'm feeling good about my chances.

No, line is right and Villanova will beat them. I wish VCU would have won outright tonight, as I may have been leading SBR Contest if they did. I am now 4 points back and that game was 7-point swing.

Villanova should blow them out of the water. UCLA was lucky to escape today.

If this game moves to Nova -1 I might actually bet on UCLA. With this kind of sentiment, the line movement will tell us a lot.

There is never such thing as a trap. Well Pinny puts up opinionated lines but these are of their doing. The oddsmakers that put out the lines never try to trap players. If this game is played 10,000 times in the exact same place in the exact same situation, it would be 50/50 on the spread. 48/52 one way or another at the most.

Read the thread starter's analysis of the game. Halladay was pitching for the Blue Jays, he had been perfect in the Spring and the Red Sox were struggling and several of the best players were playing in the WBC. The thread starter asked, "Why is this game a pick 'em?"
I took his advice and I made a small bet on Toronto. I listened to the radio play by play and the announcers said that Halladay had a bout with a condition called "dead arm." He hadn't allowed a run in 9 innings in the Spring but in this game he was roughed up for 4 runs in 5 innings. Why? Because he was suffering from dead arm. The oddsmakers knew that so they made the line a pick 'em.

I had VCU beating UCLA also, I wish they had won also.
If it seems to good to be true it usually is!!
I have a natural instinct to exploit market ineffieciencies!!

UCLA dominated that game while VCU just hanged around. If Villanova start out slow like they did against American, UCLA will get this one.

Villanova shot 29 free throws and American shot 5. That's about as crooked as it gets.

Or not at all. The idea that the bookmakers know everything is so absurd. There is a reason they put out low limits on openers, especially NCAAB and that the lines move a ton from the opener.

Not quite sure what you mean, but dj is correct. Look at the opener for the Duke game today, for instance. It opened at Pinny at -18.5 and at Cris at -22.5. The openers are often widely disparate in NCAAB, between book to book and between open to close.

The Donks are a done franchise for the next 5 to 10 years if Cutler gone. They will be right with the Raiders as the laughing stock of the West.
