Congrats on winning the whole contest last month! Gonz had the longest winning steak of ANYONE IN THE CONTEST! I sure hope that you are taking advantage of those +1.5 lines! I know that you are though.

My best thus far was 7 games and then I woke up too late to get the good lines and lost a -1 pick on Felix Hernandez! I have hit 5 twice though and am on a 2 game streak right now

Thanks bud! The majority of my streak has probably been on totals though which is odd since I rarely actually bet them. Lucked out big time on game 15, had the dodgers -1.5 last night. Didn't think I had a chance and never even finished watching the game. Was nice to wake up to though.

I got to 10 playing everyday, the last few I have only been playing a game every 2-3 days and a couple of times was forced into a game on the last day (played wnba both times and won, something else I never bet, haha). The breaks are definitely going my way, knock on wood. Patience is definitely not my strong suit but it's paying off for me on this contest.

And for anyone who's curious, while there have been a couple of prizes that intrigued me I have been just been getting the freeplays. As a small time bettor ($50 a game) it has built into a nice little bankroll with football around the corner.

Gonz beat me in the july contest barely, im at 14 now myself so im going for the 2k prizes, i will likely just take the freeplay if i can win, i actually liked the 500 prizes a bit better. I might sit out with only 7 games tomorrow and wait for Tuesday no reason to rush a pick. I had Houston +1.5 on July 31 and got screwed b/c Cosart was traded and the pick was cancelled or I would have had pick 15 today.

deposit 50, make a 1 dollar bet every time you start a streak if you are just interested in the game.

You need to have a graded wager within 24hrs of your first win. I think mine was only $25

True but it must be a graded type wager. I learned at the beginning of the contest when I got 5 the first that open bets don't count haha. I bet alot of open ended teasers at 5dimes and I was adding plays to it almost everyday but I still didn't qualify since the bet was still open when I lost the streak.

yes it has to be a graded wager good point, dont think you can start a 1 dollar 25 team parlay and have it be open and be ok.

I'v been taking lots of the dogs plus 1.5 on the run line, i took the angels plus 1.5 tonight, they don't always win, but i think they give you the best chance to win, there is a reason the Angels plus 1.5 is minus 220 right now.

I actually have hit 5 twice now and took the prizes versus the freeplay. I have plenty of cash in 5dimes and the freeplays wouldnt help much. If I get to 10 wins I will just take one of the computers.

Having said that, at 15 wins, I would definitely take the freeplay.

I like your pick and of course I should have taken it as well. But I was a little worried about the Angels today and knew that all of the leaders would take that pick. Thus I went with the Yankees +1.5 runs. Of course your pick is much better. But my streak is still under 5 so a loss wouldnt kill me.

I believe that at the $50 level and $500 level, one should probably choose the prizes rather than the freeplays. But when you get to 15 wins, who actually still wears a watch????? I actually think that the Binoculars that record is pretty penetrating cool! Imagine your recordings of your kids sporting events with those bad boys! And that rifle scope is pretty penetrating cool as well! You could get those and then sell them on Amazon for like $1600 in a heartbeat!

But I would probably choose the freeplay at the 15 win level. But only at that level, not at the 10 and 5 level

no, i actually got the 500 prize today as well, need balty 1.5 for pick 15, they must give the prize every step of the way, what you said was my first thought though.

i never got an email for the 50 dollar prize or mistakenly deleted it, after so long they just give you the freeplay instead of the prize was the explanation i got.

Usually it's the late game that doesn't get graded right away. Regardless, they always grade them by 8 am eastern it seems

We both got winners, i had a hard time picking a game today, i ended up taking baltimore plus 1.5, i would of rather picked Dodgers minus 1 later in the day, but i don't know if Dodgers would of been minus 1 or minus 1.5 later in the day when they change the lines, so i just locked in baltimore plus 1.5.

whenver, must be straight bets and dont take bets that can push IMO b/c they will be graded as a loser.

Its hard to tell what 5dimes is going to do with the lines, last Friday Sale was pitching for the white sox against the twins and it was the highest price line all year that i can remember, i think Chicago was minus 280 that game and 5dimes has the sox minus 1 that game in the contest.
