Why would you do this to yourself? This isn't a joke I really want to get differing opinions on why anyone who considers themselves someone who profits from playing would not have an account with a book that offers reduced juice.

For example, a LOT of players on here LOVE the Greek, and I agree, its a great book, but why place the same wager there when you can get it at -103 somewhere else?

Because 5Dimes cuts or limits anybody with half of a clue...

I am not disagreeing with you, but the Greek have the fastest payouts, some may feel that is worth the extra juice. 5dimes will boot you after awhile if you win. Volume at matchbook may be a concern to some.

TheGreek will handle any action you throw at it online or by phone. They are not a recreational sportsbook, their sister book BetJamaica is intended for medium to smaller players.

5Dimes is another excellent choice for the mid sized to smaller players, as you alluded to.

What Tullamore and Monkey said, plus eventually you will need more outs due to needing higher limits...

I like the books with -120 lines. They take my action without limits and after they pay me I kiss them goodbye. They think I'm a square but after I bury them they cry.

-110 is immaterial at square books like SIA. You're often getting the equivalent of +100 or better when you bet their off numbers (mostly on dogs and unders).

What you want is a book that isn't afraid to hang a unique number (instead of moving on air to match CRIS/Greek/Pinny). There are very few of these books in the offshore realm.

sports dot com uses -110 for almost ALL lines.. or worse.. there are very little instances that you get better than -110.. but their lines move slower at night.. if you see a big jump during that time (say, -3 to -5), you get the -3 line at -110 for a few minutes.. sometimes up to an hour.. only reason I can see to use those types of books..

I agree that the juice is bad at Betjamaica which I use, but they have fast payouts and more payout and post-up options than 5Dimes. At 5Dimes, I am limited to ** or ** post-up considering my territory. Finally, I often buy points which increases the juice. So, I am the type of player that is more concern with getting the line I like rather than juice I like because I believe I will win enough to offset it if I get line I like.

a lot of good thoughts here you guys...i agree that payouts are on the top of some's list, as well as line movement...the books that offer unique lines are great too...so, for me, I ultimately would like a book with very high limits, low juice, and fast payouts...but i'm dreaming...guess i'll just keep to spreading it out...which works well for me...its just those 1/2 points losses that kill me when i know i could have done things differently
