BetRoyal is back on Track Under it’s Original Founder

COSTA RICA – After hiatus from BetRoyal for over 4 years to pursue other ventures, Chester, the original founder, has been drafted back into action by ownership which acquired BetRoyal back in 2003. This surprise move was the shareholder’s desire to reestablish the company’s original charter calling for: “courteous and professional service,” “fair lines to shoot at” and “prompt return of your funds” - the Royal Mantra.

In the past couple of years, BetRoyal suffered several mishaps under best intentioned but ill-equipped managers. This created a setback in the company’s growth plan and became the impetus for this recent move. Marketing was solid but sound bookmaking principles were lacking. Without the combination of both, it’s difficult to sustain positive results.

This and several other factors made the owners of the company decide to go for a, “Get Back to Your Roots” management campaign.

Chester’s unique blend of applying sound bookmaking skills together with outstanding customer service and an incessant drive to accommodate each and every player is being vigorously reinstated.

Up to now, the company has been quiet about the move - bringing Chester’s experienced and proven consultancy to head the new BetRoyal management. “Chester has been spending the past 2 months evaluating BetRoyal’s present situation and sizable following. From that he has derived a solid plan which he presented to us (ownership).” “Clearly this guy knows what he is doing and after careful review of the plan, we have committed to backing it fully.”

“Its time, now that the betting community knows of the commitment BetRoyal is making that will return it to the top, tier one status of its heyday.”

One question remains regarding the rapid maturity of the industry and how “old school” formulas can be reinserted into the extremely competitive environment faced by Sports Betting companies today. “We are fully backed by state-of-the-art technology and the top notch IT personnel. Combine that fact with the pleasant discovery that the Royal Family was obtained by the largest online casino operation in Costa Rica, I had no doubt of the tremendous opportunity set before me,” says Chester.

Each and every department is being reorganized and lined with professionals from top to bottom. Gems within the organization are being recognized and brought forward into higher positions of responsibility.

“I have the mandate and support of the shareholdership to create solid departments all the way from management to supervisory positions and clerks which will return BetRoyal to its former glory. “Morale has never been better,” is the recent, internal theme heard from those who have been employees for some time. “It all starts with the point of contact,” says Chester. “I have reintroduced one of our most sacred traditions - I want all customers to ‘hear a smile over the phone, to read the smiles on the Live Chat and in e-mails’! We are an entertainment provider and that means at our end we must respect and pay attention to every single aspect of the customer’s experience.”

“One other key element I am bringing back into the BetRoyal formula is this: What we say is what is true. What we commit to is what we honestly believe we can fulfill. And when we can’t fulfill a promise or commitment, we proactively reach out to the customer, the promoter, the employee, whoever… and find the best and most immediate solution. Things go wrong sometimes. But running from problems is no longer an option here at BetRoyal.”

What do Chester and BetRoyal have in store for the future? Without divulging too much information, Chester pointed out the obvious such as fast payouts, top notch customer service, competitive lines, and the great staff of personal account representatives but most of all good old fashion reliability – all the things which BetRoyal was known for.

Chester mentioned some upcoming implementations – some of which are new to the gambling industry – separators which will clearly point out the differences between BetRoyal and the rest of the competition such as: “The BetRoyal Family” – a customer club which provides special promotions, a revised Rewards Program, BetPro2.0 “The Serious Player’s Friend” (an essential handicapping tool that provides stats, scores, lines, etc.), unique promotions tailored to individual player’s play styles and much more.

“These are all just the tip of the iceberg,” said Chester, “Keep checking the www.BetRoyal.com website as we roll out the surprises.

Tell Chester we are getting complaints that the web site is ultra slow lately. Makes me wonder if he reinstalled Excaliber. (lol any old timers remember Royal's Excaliber software? it was horrible and led to the firing of their CEO whereby the Dutch shareholders went out and hired someone they knew from their porn operations; Roberto C. And the rest is history)

Back to present day Royal. Chester is back and by most accounts is a good guy. Then again, so was Kevin King(the last CEO and before him Roberto C. ). The for them is that they all worked for Tej and Tej does not believe in paying fast. Its a trick of the casino industry. Get the player mad and make him wonder if he will ever get paid and there is a strong chance that he will go back to playing and lose it all.

What happens when the Chester and Tej honeymoon falters? What happens when Tej orders Chester to slow up the payouts and cuts off funding as Kevin King admitted was Tej's way of limiting payouts?

The jury is still out because we are in a honeymoon period. We wish Chester and Royal luck. Complaints have dropped since even before Chester arrived.

News releases and the ole Chester is back rah rah are ok but now its time to let the rubber meet the road. We will soon see if this is a legit turna around or a pig with lipstick.

I have never had a problem with Royal, many play there with no complaints.

Yes sometimes we get so slow pays but all are resolved.

Say what you want about Royal - views vary wildly - but there can be no doubt of this:

The only word I might quibble with is "lately." I don't see it as being a recent thing. The website performance has been consistently BRUTAL for quite awhile.

I am seeing a pattern with these crooked sportsbooks. Its either under new management or these scammers bring in a new face. One thing that does'nt change, its the same crooks that are still in control.

BetRoyal is still in ponzi scheme mode with convicted swindler Nevtej Kohli pocketed your deposit money.

Surprised they made so many admissions in their press release. Aside from the software, Chester has made many positive changes. Unlike past ownership and linesmakers, this guy actually understands bookmaking, which is pretty damn important when you run a book.

They issued a press release a few months back when BlueGrass Doug came on board. That lasted about a month. Let's see if the actions speak this time.

The post is factual. But I think much like BetUS, that these owners are not going to pull the scams they pulled in the past with these operations.

Tej opened 100's of boooks and casinos and closed them down stiffing everyone, that's true and that's what Chuck is basing his post on.

However, Royal is different. Tej paid $4.5 million dollars for Royal and Royal's income stream. This was not his typical pump and close sportsbook.

Tej would not bring Chester back if he was going to screw everyone. I've known Chester a long time but not well. It's my strong gut feeling that Chester will have zero part in a Tej scam. Chester is a nice guy with I think four kids, he is not one of the bad guys.

So Chester is the guy we are watching. If he goes, that will tell the story. If he stays, Royal has a chance and we would all expect improvements in all areas and most likely continued upgrades. As I said in my last post; will Tej give Chester full control? Stay tuned. The future of Royal hinges on that question.

But John, as great a man as Chester may be, and as great a job as he may do with them, how do you get around the fact that the owner bought the company with stolen money and has never made any effort to return the stolen money (let alone interest)?

Even if Chester can overcome their slow-paying ways, how can we justify supporting a book when the owner is a crook, both a crook in this industry and others?

Instead of saying let's see how they do, we should collectively be saying we will never support your book until Tej's victims are made whole.

Didn't the owner from Guardian start his book in similar circumstances?

A bit of a complex question.
Tej's previous scam victims were scammed in both his online businesses and his mortgage scam. We did weigh that heavily into Royal's rating over the years until we slowly became convinced Royal was not a pump and dump scam. Royal's rating, currently at C-, and its still weighed down by the fact its owner is a notorious scammer but maybe not as much as you would like.

We put more rating emphasis into recent performance and recent feedback from real players. We have made it a point to encourage Royal and all books and be fair with them with upgrades when improvements are realized.

There is no perfect way to weigh the past into a current rating. If an owner was a scammer but changed and paid like WSEX(SBR Rating A+) for 30 straight years is he still an F? Its an exaggeration, made to make a point.

Damn, I was so close to winning on my SBR forum bingo card. I had "ponzi scheme", "Nevtej Kohli" and "convicted swindler". But you didn't mention "S-H-I-T book". Just a reminder for next time to keep to the script, Chuck.

                                      That press release was hilarious.

Jesus ... I wouldnt buy a box of matches from douchebags who talk like that.

Too many funny lines but this :

"Marketing was solid but sound bookmaking principles were lacking"

is effectively a definition of spamming.

Sound like a ponzi scheme run by a convicted swindler. In other words, a S-H-I-T book.
