just fired their coach. they are gonna be like a wounded dog out there, with a nothing to lose mentality which is really scary for a team loaded with so much talent.

Even if Mexico loses, it can qualify through the playoff system if it maintains its position as the fourth-place team in the group.

The big match for Mexico will be at Azteca against Panama. Lose tonight and that one, and they'll lose their chance to snag the fourth spot that gets them in the playoff tie with New Zealand. Mexico would smash New Zealand, which is not very good but plays in a talent-less region, over the two legs and qualify through the back door if it came to that.

Although, I think the reason I like USA here is due to the fact that they're down key players. That angle has worked insanely well in basketball for me, I have no idea how solid it is in Soccer.

the last thing they wanna do is go through the back door to try to qualify - that would be one hell of a embarrassment for the country that breathe and live soccer.

so I say they gonna do everything in their power to try to qualify the regular way.
