Nice - a championship which is at least fair to everyone from the start. I really don't see why all of the series can't be that way, the World Cup has been shown itself to be grossly unbalanced so why keep doing it?

Also seems strange (like last time there was a similar Championship) why 11th place is clearly better than 10th. I mean yes rolling over does require time, but still for nearly 3x as many points, I'd much rather have 11th myself.

But disagreements aside, looks great as usual, I'll of course play - looking forward to it!

I really doubt it honestly - 5000 points to enter? You'd have to finish at least 8th out of 75+ just to get your $ back. I seriously doubt almost anyone will pony up 5000 to play the finale. Just qualify the usual way!

With 75 qualifiers I agree, but if there were fewer tourney qualifiers it would be good value. IIRC it was almost 30k points for a $1k gift certificate in the store before the inventory got slashed. The cash added is great value, just not enough to overcome 75 opponents.
