It does look pretty nice. Locked in The Rangers (-105) already for 1u @ BookMaker. Will cap the rest later.

Little bit of a fade on Corbin here. He's been getting hit around his last 3-4 games. Even without Posey, I think the Giants slap him around here. Sacrificing the few points here and taking FF. Just can't bet against the Dbacks once the 8th, 9th inning rolls around and they are within a run. It took the Dbacks until the 5th inning to get going last night. Even though the Dbacks' lineup looks a little better on paper, Petit fanned 10 in 6 innings against them in his last start. He will prob only go 5 or 6 innings, another reason I'm taking FF here.
With Texas, just taking the better overall team, better bullpen. Wilson has pretty sick #'s in his last 15 starts or so, yet he's a pick 'em at home? Will take the low price here on a Texas team that has owned the Angels this season.

Fully agreed...I was on NewYork with you, Nino and Co. and felt the pain intensely. (I wasn't crowing or bitching...just lamenting and musing about why and how seemingly-improbable bad-beats in baseball are so frequent and frustrating.)

Browsed the card, nothing sexy jumped at me. May look at the later games. Sat/Sun are usually football days.

Weaver vs. the Twins. No need to over think this one. Add in the AAA like lineup the Twins are throwing out there... square, yes, but should be an easy winner.

Nope, 2 outs and 1 on and Weaver gives up back to back hits to bury it.
Now an error on a fielder's choice has probably buried any shot at the RL.
Sorriest lineup I've seen the Twins field in a long time.

as the salaries get higher...the level of execution worsens...the ending of the KAN/CLE game reeked as well...bring in a pinch-hitter down a run with guys on 2&3 with only one out...and he watches 6 straight pitches, including 3 strikes...aaarrrggghhh
get as many of these improbable screw-ups in a night of MLB now than there used to be in a month...epic bullpen meltdowns, little-league errors of all kinds, and dumbass managing decisions...now all quite commonplace
NBA has eroded even worse into something unwatchable...
NHL can't come soon enough...only major N.American professional team-sport that hasn't turned into a parody of its former self
A little day bases action here. Only going half a unit each on these. Will cap the night games later.
Fading Petit after he went a complete game and was one strike away from a perfect game. Petit had never pitched more than 6 innings this season prior to that complete game shutout. Giants blow a 6-0 lead tonight and lose the game. Seems like a good spot to gamble on the dog here.
With Cleveland, it's a coin flip game, taking the plus money on the home team. Kazmir coming off a great start, Shields coming off the worst start of his season. Kazmir 4-1 with a 3.20 ERA for day games.

0-2 -1u on the day. Rockies blow the lead in the bottom of the 8th.
Adding: Houston Astros FF (+135) 5Dimes. I like Peacock (no homo) as he's shown potential. He's pitched decent enough in pitcher friendly parks. No way this rookie spot starter should be favored by this much here. Doing First Five to avoid Houston's bull pen.

Looking at this all day thinking of making it my largest play of the season. Gonna go small now and wait to see lineups.

Just a normal play for me. Rays are streaky and are beating themselves these days. Maddon's decision process tonight in the 9th and 10th inning was mind boggling. Fausto Carmona With the AL East and Wild Card tightening, I expect the Red Sox to continue to push and finish strong.

Yeah, been too busy to throw together a decent write up. Honestly, there hasn't been a lot on the card that I'm liking down the stretch.

San Diego Padres (-118) 1.18u 5Dimes
YTD
164-159-3 +17.35u
Wade Miley has gotten beat up by the Padres all season. The Dbacks haven't matched up well with the Padres. They are the thorn in their side. Local word is Wade has been dealing with a nasty sinus infection all week. I know when I'm feeling like shit and run down from a lack of sleep, I wanna face a team that I'm 0-4 against who is hitting .326 off of me with a 5.82 ERA. Throw in Gibby's incompetence and likelihood to manage himself out of a game, this is an easy play. For example, tonight he lets McCarthy pitch to Hundley with 2 outs, runners on 2nd and 3rd in a 1-1 game when Amarista is on deck and is 0 for his last 27. Hundley bombs a 3-run HR and Amarista comes up and hits a shallow fly out to RF to go 0 for his last 28. Gibby ball.
I'm also prob going to hit the Oakland A's first five when it's available. Griffin has been lights out since the All-Star Break, I just don't know how long the A's are going to let their starters go.
