Fix is in... Cal v. OSU - UNREAL!
Cal played like shit, lucked out a 1 point victory vs. OSU.

    Interesting part is:

    1st Half Summary
20:00 0-0 Technical Foul on Olaf Schaftenaar
20:00 Allen Crabbe missed Free Throw. 0-0
20:00 Allen Crabbe made Free Throw. 1-0
Tech was called pre-game. That's right. Before the fukking game even start. More specifically, it happened in the layup line of team warm-ups.

This kid, was T'd up pre-game, for dunking in the layup line.

I have been to literally hundreds of college basketball games. Every single team has always had dunkers in the layup line. As a matter of fact, during my time in College at Arizona Richard Jefferson's thing was to do some amazing pre-game dunks. Some of the better dunks I've ever seen live.

Now, with that context - check out the quote:

CRAIG ROBINSON (Oregon St. Coach)"Not Olaf's fault whatsoever, first and foremost. Guys dunk before the game all the time before the refs come out and from what he (the referee) told me, he was in the hallway, but a rule is a rule."
So this ref, called a tech pre-game, on a "dunk" he never saw and based it on a rule that is literally never called.

Cal wins the game by exactly one point. Coincidence be damned - that is some absolute mind boggling bullshit.

this is the first time i have ever heard of a fix being executed by letting someone score the FIRST point of a game, and hoping the rest of the game plays out to a dead even draw

Mike you're a stats guy right?

Doesnt correlation prove causation? Isn't that like a stat rule or math theorem or something?

On a side note, researchers recently studied 1000 thousand people that have confessed to eating an apple. The conclusion is that all 1000 will die.

Back on topic, just give credit where it's due. It was a finely fixed game.

on a second side note, I wonder if the OSU coach realizes he's a crob?

Actually Cal led almost the entire game and fell apart late to let the Beavs get the push. Cal was the right play, but sometimes the right side doesn't cover...

It's common knowledge it's a tech if you dunk pre game. C'mon man.

I am a math guy, yes, but also street smart.

Here's a test to tell the difference - a fair coin is flipped 50 times and comes up heads 50 times, what are the odds it will come up heads on the 51st flip?

The math guys will say 50% if it has enough rotations to be random, i say pretty close to 100% because the odds i am being lied to about the fairness of the coin are much greater than the odds of a fair coin coming up heads 50x in a row.

OSU was always the right play.

Nice to see a game play out the way it should.

game would have ended in a tie without the tech

Dunking in the pre game layup line happens in every game. Interesting that they called that, he must have said something to the refs in a previous game or something.

                          The point is:

A ginger named Olaf will be forever able to say "I dunked so hard in pre-game, they called a tech in game" and it actually be true.

That game was fishy with Cal never behind being up by no less than 4, only in the final two minutes to not score a single point, and stay just inside the number of 1.5, with 83 percent playing cal. Lets be honest, over 150 games on a saturday, dont you think around 5 of them are shaved?
