Where Does BRIAN URLACHER rank all time in terms of LB's?
Let's say his knee never heals and he retires. Is he a HOF-er? In your opinion? Top 25 all time? Top 10 all time? On terms of LB's?
Top 100 player of all-time any position?

Will make the hall probably. Top 50 lb all time. Injuries have ruined his career potential and he played on some bad bears teams but guy had some great moments.

I think he has to be top 100 at any position and the guy has got to be a hall of famer no matter what he does the rest of his career. I'm not old enough to be able to fairly compare him to any linebacker that played before the 90's or more realistically the 2000's, so I won't even attempt at that answer. When it is all said and done, Briggs will be the one who could be a very interesting HOF candidate, the guy has put up very solid numbers for quite some time now. I would have thought Peppers was on his way also, but his numbers have not been too impressive since coming to Chicago, even though the dude is arguably one of the best athletes alive.

Full disclosure. I think he is/was very very good but he doesn't even sniff Ray Lewis IMO.
Urlacher gets close to the same amount of praise though because he has been involved in one less measly murder in his days. Guy is a douchebag with the media too. Top ten media DB

I think they were somewhat different during their primes, Ray was more of a big-body stuffer, while Urlacher was possibly the fastest guy on the field at any given time (not that Lewis was slow by any means). That's why Ray has slimmed down to be able to maintain his speed, because losing speed at LB equals trouble, just ask Urlacher.

Don't know much about great Linebacker, since there's been so few in the last 20 years that really stands out.
Lawrence Taylor
Derrick Thomas
Butkus
Singletary
Lambert
Ray Lewis
Top 5 for now until Von Miller eventually joins that list.
I'll say Urlacher stand anywhere below that with Seau and Bill Romanowski.

Gotta admit, when it is cold in Chicago and he is sitting on the sidelines with his helmut off and the steam is rising out of his bald skull...he sure looks like a football player...lol

Top 25 for sure. Top 10, not too sure.
I feel it's hard to be a player that stands out in the 46 defense

Most overrated of all time, elevated as he is seen as the great white hope

He will be in the HOF, but I'll rank the list of LBs in the NFL HOF and see where Urlacher fits.
1. Ray Lewis (still active, but he'll get in when eligible)
2. Derrick Brooks
3. Junior Seau (still waiting for eligibility, but he'll get in)
4. Lawrence Taylor
5. Bill George
6. Ted Hendricks
7. Chuck Bednarik
8. Jack Ham
9. Mike Singletary
10. Ricky Jackson
11. Chris Doleman
12. Nick Buoniconti
13. Jack Lambert
14. Ray Nitschke
15. Brian Urlacher
Here's some HOF LB's that are below Urlacher:
Joe Schmidt
Bobby Bell
Chris Hanburger
Sam Huff
Derrick Thomas
Harry Carson
Willie Lanier
Dick Butkus
Andre Tippett
Dave Wilcox
Les Richter
So, Urlacher will end up in the HOF. He still has a few years of work if we wants to be an all time great.

agreed, top 50 LB of all time. Willis from SF today reminds me alot of a young Urlacher. Sideline to sideline and around every play.. Thoughts?
