The real odds were way more than 30-1 if it was offered in a 2-way market. Honestly it was probably 1,000-1 at least.

i actually have a client that graduated from notre dame and bets $500 on the irish to win it all every year when he goes to vegas

didn't even think about it until now, he always says he throws away $500 every year but this year if he got 30-1 or more WOW

Let's put it this way.....how much could you have made by betting ND ML every game and parlaying the winnings all the way through? And then even at that, hat would be better than betting to win title because they could have won every game and still not won title.

I just ran the numbers and ND is over 50-1 just to be undefeated right now. And keep in mind, even at undefeated they could have easily missed the champ. game if other teams had gone undefeated.

If they win today and the championship that's probably going to shoot up to 250-1 at least.

So if you bought ND 30-1 or 40-1 to win the champ. that was the underlay of the century.

True odds were at least 500-1.

and yeah these futures markets carry far too much vig. ND at anything under 50/1 is absurd, but most books had them low.

You're just about always better off keeping the money and betting your team week by week.
