Question, i requested this information about 4 months ago. Anyways when am i eligible to view my reports again? January 1st?

here's my situation im going to be looking for a new car in January. in May 2008 i bought a toyota camry and totaled it in September 2009, when i checked it like 4 months ago it still showed the loan on my credit report even though it had been paid off by the insurance company in full.

The creditor was Citifinancial auto. How would i be able to check if it was still there? and if so how to dispute it? i have a $0 balance letter from them.

thats cause if you read the thread, the best time to file disputes is right after thanksgiving, given the holidays in december

I have read it brock and if YOU will read it, you will see that I posted in it 2 years ago. The advice was solid and it got a late payment off my credit.

Not true. It is hit or miss. I didn;t have mass debt, just didn't pay bills on time. I'd sign up for a credit card at college to get a free t shirt, max out the card and would pay it every 3 months.

To make a long story short I did what this guy suggested and 4 or so bank loans where I was late (same bank) came back as i was never late. The funny thing is it came back in 3 or 4 days.

The majority of bad tradelines didn't change, all were paid either through a settlement or chargeoff sold to collection. I could say that since this thread caught my eye I haven't been over 30 days late on anything and somehow was able to get the score high enough 2 years ago to get our first house.

I'm not bragging in the least because gambling put me in the hole to begin with. I'm lucky, but I would have a lot of nicer things in life if I took things more seriously in my mid/late 20's.

Are you saying it showed you owed $$$ still or just the loan itself? Also, you could get 1 report from each agency. I'm not 100% sure but I think it is a rolling 12 months.

I just read over at the SBR of credit (creditforums) that the holiday trick isn't as effective/doesn't work any longer.

                              Don't count on it.

I hate dealing with this crap... My credit has been nothing but a thorn in my side until recently. Bottom line, don't use credit cards and if you do, pay em off every month.

                                      1) just stated that the loan was still active

                                      2) if ive already viewed my 1 tie report how cud i pull another report from the 3? Whats the cheapest way to find out ifthe loans still there and to get it off.
