anyone have ats stat on teams going on 3 consecutive roadgame
Was loving the Jags vs browns but now i'm bit concerned that this is the 3rd road game in a row for them was wondering if anyone had a stat on teams in this situation?

    Per ESPN Insider:

Matchup: Jacksonville Jaguars at Cleveland Browns

Line move: Browns opened at minus-1.5, currently favored by one.
Big Al says: "This is just something that has worked forever in the NFL: When a team is playing its third straight road game -- as the Jags are -- it is dreadful. And the team is especially bad if it goes into the third game off of wins. Those teams are 64-108 ATS since 1980. Again, this is a situation in which teams are going in opposite directions: Jax is 3-0-1 ATS the past four games and Cleveland is 0-6-1 the past seven. But you don't want to go with a hot team in this scenario."

Just bet the UNDER 34. I feel like they couldn't realistically set the total low enough for this game. Then again, I've been COLD in all sports, so you might want to fade this. I'm struggling to see anything higher scoring than 17-14 coming out of this stinker....10-6 seems more likely. GL

Two run homer could decide this one in the late innings

Listen to him, he is right, and playing an Under @ 34 ?! you gotta be crazy no matter who plays. Under 40 would be much safer...

            NO PLAY!

i know Al likes the since 1980 trends, but i find recent trends more informative. the 3 consecutive road games is rare. since 2005 teams off 2 consecutive road ATS wins are 2-2-1 ATS in the third. the only trends i have involving this game are Home Favs of -1 are 55-30-2 ATS and 53-32-2 O/U since start of '06 season. im passing on this game.

I was loving the Browns anyway. Just more fuel to the fire.

Excluding playoffs, teams playing in third consecutive road game are 54-67-2 ATS and 56-64-3 OU since 1989.

                    2008: 1-2 ATS
                    2009: 2-0 ATS
                    2010: 2-3 ATS
                    2011: 0-5 ATS
                    Dog: 37-49-1 ATS since '89 (1-8 ATS since '08)
                    Fav: 17-17 ATS since '89 (6-2 ATS since '05)

Excluding playoffs, teams playing in third consecutive road game off a WIN are 15-30-1 ATS since 1989.

Above is not a bad situation to follow (66.6%), but the situation to follow is excluding playoffs, AWAY DOGS playing in third consecutive road game off a WIN are 9-22-1 ATS (71%) since 1989.

Favs cover at a higher clip in this situation.
