I jumped on the giants at -6, but even at -8 this is a good play, giants pass rush is gonna kill poor whitehurst, especially with their o line banged up. And its not like they have a running game to slow down the pass rush. The reason giants been so dominant on defense is because they score alot of points and stuff the run and the other teams have no choice but to throw the ball and that's when they bring in 3DE and even 4DE packages. If charlie whitehurst can score more than 1 TD, Id consider him a veeeeeery good qb.

Whitehurst is not a rookie. He was drafted in 2006 and has been in the NFL since then. That means this is his fifth year in the league.

Not that I think his 2 rushing attempts in 2006 mean much. He has never thrown a NFL regular season pass much less started a game. I just wanted to point out his isn't fresh out of school.

You guys make it sound like the Giants cannot lose. This is why they call the NFL any given sunday. If the +7 was such a gift for the Giants don't you think the oddsmakers would push it to +9 or even +10? Just remember, there are no sure bets in the NFL.

The Seahawks will have Charlie Whitehurst as their starting QB against the Giants, but they do not have a good RB or defense. Giants even have one of the best pass rushing defense, the Giants will dominate.

But this is in Seattle which is one of the toughest road venues, and if Eli decides to sh*t the bed, things could get interesting.

Thats because it doesn't matter who the QB is for the Hawks. Hasselbeck sucks, O-line sucks, no run game, and their receivers have not been able to consistently catch balls for the past four years. The only reason I'd take +8 is because it's at home with Carrol as their coach. It'll be a 7-10 point game
