    Hedging bets
Hedging bets seems sensible enough to me. Would there be a way to do it betting tonights Redskins/Bears matchup.

As far as I know, you cover your ass with another bet so if you lose (the main bet) it is not as much.

When I hedge bets, I like to do it in a way in which both bets still have a chance of winning, instead of an either/or situation.

For example, I have CHI +3 and UNDER 38 tonight.
To hedge this, I could set up two types of teaser:

            A) CHI +9, WAS +3 and OVER 32
            OR

            B) WAS +3 and OVER 32

            OR

            C) CHI +9 and UNDER 44

That way if the under doesn't hit, or CHI +3 doesn't work out, you still have other options which will help you win back the money you lost in the main bet. Of course, there are still possibilities for you to lose it all....hope this helps!

Chi +10 and Was +4 is a possibilty is you can bet 7 point
                teasers.

Personally, I really like teasers. If you are new to this I would recommend opening an account at pinnacle so you have accesss to the teaser page , that way you can play aroudn and see for yourself.

In brief, both teams get 7 points in their favour and the O/U
moves 7 points in both directions. For example O/U 50 now becomes under 57 or over 43.

Teasers this weekend look solid , especially multiple team teasers. For example, one could take Pats - 3.5, Carolina -3.5, Vikings -2.5 , GB -3.5, Dallas -3.5 and Colts -2.5 . I believe it would pay something like 5 to 1.

Just a thought... but it seems like these favorites look like strong bets this weekend.

                Good Luck.

The teaser is often not worth the juice. Just pick a side and have confidence in it. Why hedge? If you arn't confident then you probably shouldnt bet in the first place.

if i have a play on team A, i will sometimes take team B in a 3 team parley at true odds with two other picks that i like. i started doing this when i noticed how many 2 out 3 results i was getting on my 3 team parleys.

                              giving it a shot

I have a decent parlay set up this weekend and am thinking of hedging one of the games. Here's how it goes: Browns cover,Bangles cover, ang Eagles don't. I was also thinking of a side bet taking Philly to cover +109, Probably betting half of what I bet on the parlay, Maybe a dollar on the parlay and a half dollar on the hedge. Does this seem like a sensible hedge?
