Being that this was such a big game, it would have been nice to see how it played out with Favre in for all four quarters. Although, it was nice to see the second-stringer keep the game close.

I think it would of been worse with Favre in there, he was playing like shit. Taking too many shots down the field like the Pack were 4-7 and had nothing to lose. Looked like the old man was panicking to me. Rodgers came in and ran the usual game-plan and they did well with the short routes

Yeah, Favre wasn't playing well at the beginning of the game, but in the 4th, when it's a 7-point, I like Favre in for the comeback everytime. He's a playmaker when it counts, even if he's having a crappy day.

Oh I agree I just dont think it would have been a 7 point game to begin with. Maybe the coaches would of got him to stop going for the bomb down the field when hes got people wide open at halftime, who knows. All speculation now. I liked how Rodgers was willing to take a sack instead of making a bad throw though.

Yes, I agree, Rogers played well. It would've been nice if Brett could've come in for part of the last quarter and worked some magic for the Pack, though!

Anyway, on to the rest of the game. I'm column writing this morning and trying to talk myself out of my instinct to pick the Jags to beat Indy. I'll probably end up going with my gut anyway!

Are you the frontpage writer? The frontpage lady writer has been on Jacksonville a lot and right also, tailed a couple of those picks.

You mean the front page here? Yes, they put me on the front here - Nancy Allen.

I have a feeling with Gerard in and the numbers he's put up that the Jags can win. The one thing nagging at me is that Peyton & Co., are generally invincible in the dome.

Dallas was an easy pick and they'll probably see Green Bay again before it's all said and done.

                        Yes thats what I meant.

I never like betting against Manning at home but Jacksonville is pretty tough and they might cover that spread. I definitely dont think this game goes like the one in Jacksonville. Garrard has been playing good lately and they should be able to run the ball at Freeney's empty slot. I got a feeling Harrison is gonna play even though the reports suggest otherwise. Im probably gonna stay off this game or bet it on Sunday when I know more.

                        Good Luck this week Nancy!

Phillips had a good scheme for the gunslinger Favre. Pass rush and lots of help in the secondary for his bad pressured throws. They probably will see each other again and in Dallas to go to the SB, wonder what that line will be?

I was unsure about last nights game. I knew Dallas would win, but thought it would have been closer. I chose to Tease it to -1 over 46. I did less sweating towards the end of the game. These teams will def meet again in the Playoffs, most likely the NFC championship.

I had GB +7 and lost on that FG . But I also teased GB to +13 and OVER 45.5. Then I made a bet on the UNDER for the 2nd half, so I was up almost a unit on the game. I agree they will see each other in the NFC championship most likely. Green Bay could get upset in the playoffs, I doubt Dallas does. I might go shopping for props later to see if I can get a nice number on Dallas winning the NFC

They actually made it closer without Farve. Rogers mobility caught them off guard.

"Favre left the game in the second quarter with a bruised right elbow and separated left shoulder. He ended just 5-of-14 for 56 yards. His two interceptions led to 14 points for the Cowboys, who led for almost the entire game despite the strong play of Rodgers."
