    Kicker John Carney signs with the Chiefs
    What is with these teams signing all these 40+ year old kickers nowadays. First it was Morton Anderson and now it's John Carney.


    Why not sign a free agent kicker from the CFL. I'm sure they are not only in game shape, but a lot younger to boot.

      Was that some sorta pun?

      I think they probably like the experience of the older guys whose nerves won't get the best of them.

          I told you man... there will be a starter that is 50+ in the NFL in the not to distant future...

          But seriously this guy woofs... He is in far better shape then Anderson and I think he'll do well...

              Was surprised he was out of the league. Always a very good kicker, although his range went down last season for NO. Although not as bad as Anderson's range, which is 45 in a dome!
