I would never bet on such a large favorite, but these Pats are the exception to the rule. This will be something like 52-7.

Love the week leading up. Randy Moss was called out on ESPN for lack of effort, and the defense was terrible. Geez... I 'wonder' if they'll come out sharp tonight.

The Pats are a team that prepares like no other. For last week's game they probably didn't have a whole lot on Feeley. He took them by surprise (and looked terrible the next week, when the Seahawks were not surprised). At this very moment I'm feeling very sorry for Kyle Boller.

Please stop the talk about how the Ravens may cover the spread because they will not. They are a piece of shit. In week 9, on Monday Night game they got killed by the Steelers so how can they hang with the Patriots?

Ray Lewis? He is OLD. Gates burned his ass so many times.

I have been a lurker on here for awhile but have been pretty successful lately and am ready to start chiming in. I am somewhat perplexed on what to do. If conditions were ideal, I would take NE in a heartbeat. But, have you looked at the windy forecast?

I am a little concerned about Brady being as sharp with 40 mph winds ripping through.

If I pull the trigger, it will be the PATS. I might be a spectator this time however.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum Jeff

The Pats will have some big problems with those 40mph winds, and without having any type of running game at all sure doesn't help their chances to cover this spread.

                  Thanks for the welcome.

I think the under 46 is the play (if any). I don't see Belichick trying to run this one up given the scrutiny. And to be honest, not sure he will be in position to make that decision. I think there will be alot of running and bad 1 sided punting. NE may still cover, but I think it will be more like 28-10....

Don't let one bad game deter you

                    The Ravens offense is terrible
The Ravens defense is bad as well and is living on reputation.
The wind will be a non-factor

New England rush offense: 4.1 yards/carry
                      Baltimore rush defense: 2.8 yards/carry

New England pass offense: 8.72 yards/pass
                      Baltimore pass defense: 7.09 yards/pass

New England pass defense: 6.01 yards/pass

A smart Baltimore head coach would do almost nothing but run the ball. Baltimore has an average rushing attack and New England has an average rushing defense. Baltimore can't pass the ball to save their lives. Run, run, run the ball and keep it out of the hands of a New England passing attack that will shred the Ravens. Ravens have an average pass defense returning some key players, but the Pats have the best passing game we've seen in years.

Not sure how much effect the wind will have on the Pats' passing game, which relies on lots of slants/ins over the middle, which are shorter, harder-thrown passes. It may cause the Pats to run the ball a little more, a battle the Ravens should win.

However, Billick is one of those offensive geniuses in name only, and will probably spend his time trying to outwit the Pats' pass coverage instead of pounding the ball and playing a ball-control game.

Wow, good thing I didn't read this thread before putting cash on the Ravens. I live near Bmore and I knew the wind was crazy tonight so I felt pretty good about the pic.

If the wind outside hadn't been knocking over trash cans at my place near Bmore. . . I might have stayed away too. Even with the spread down to 18.5, I felt pretty good about the Ravens w/ those conditions.
