But you are missing the point, Brady comes out when they have big leads and he comes out early. Which is why I asked my question should they take him out at halftime? Seriously the media is making this out to be more than it is. Or maybe most fans don't know that he came out early because of the score when they show the highlight of his last TD?

In response as a Indy fan and resident...I will admit they've left Manning in too often over the years but if they're up over 14 then they keep running the ball as much as possible. I've seen Dungy pass up atleast 7-8 field goals over the last 3 years and not even ATTEMPT a TD late by passing or running outside. Whatever NE wants to do is up to them but these guys are professionals and nobody wants to be embarrassed.
The ONLY time the Colts have ever done anything close to 38-0 and passing for a TD in the 4th quarter was a game many years ago...pre-Dungy (I think?) with the Saints in New Orleans where Peyton threw 6 TDs against a overmatched defense. As far as these comments "If they don't want a beating then stop them"...these teams obviously can't but they won't forget either! Should a UFC fighter spit on or further humiliate a guy he knocks out? You need to respect the game and your opponent. Belechek is a low-life piece of shit which nobody can dispute that knows him! It's just a great rivalry between the Colts/Pats and I don't really care what the Pats do! I do love the Colts and everything we stand for! Dungy does things with class and we've beat the Pats 3 in a row doing things the right way. They may have brought in the right mercenaries to take it this year but I wouldn't want Randy Moss and his quitting...whining BS on my team in a million years! Rodney Harrison is widely regarded as one of the biggest cheapshot artists in the league as well. Go ask Trent Green what he thinks about him! Ruined Trent's shot with all that firepower that Kurt Warner utilized. Also your analogy is bad because in the UFC once you knock out the other guy the fight is over. NE the last two weeks had an entire half (Miami) and a quarter or better (Washington) to go with a large lead and Brady came out after one series against Miami and with 9 minutes to go against Washington, what should they have done differently?Comment -

I don't have the time (or the motivation?) to research play-by-play for the last 5 years...but since you do then find out more about Belechek...I think it was with the Browns where he stole another coaches wife! I just don't respect him as a person but as a competitor thats another story! This is as good as the D has ever played for Indy so if the Pats light us up for 40+ and kick our ass then 19-0 or 18-1 is a real possibility! Nope, Seymour was out, Harrison was out, Sanders was out, Hawkins was out, Alexander was playing middle LB, they were down to our 4th and 5th string safeties in the 2nd half. Big difference from last year. And the aging thing is another myth (other than LB) Harrison is the only non-LB over 30 on the defense and his replacement is all ready game tested and ready to go. The LB's will always be "older", that is how Bill likes them.
It truly is amazing how myths gain traction, just like the "Pats don't have a running game" yet Sammy Morris put up back to back 100 yard games until he got hurt and Maroney (if he can stay healthy was racking up some yards early on). Dude if you're going over play-by-play for 3-4 years then you just have more freetime than me...lol!! I think the only big player out last year was Harrison for the Pats but maybe you're right. I do know we abused the LBs with Dallas Clark and Bryan Fletcher and I doubt the fossils or 270 lb. Thomas is going to help in that area! We'll find out this week I guess!

A lot of the run up in the score was Washington turnovers. And then they did sit Brady out near the end. But I am surprised the Pats did not play a more conservative strategy in the second half. The second half line, Pats -4 suggested they would. The next time the Pats cover the spread in the first half, and the second half line is about 1/3 of the first half line put some money on the Pats in the second half, especially those betting the Pats this coming weekend. The best line is probably going to be the second half line.
I disagree that the Pats have no class. Usually there is parity in the NFL and the best team is not that much better than the second best team. This seems to be a rare exception this year. The best team, is substantially better than the other teams and blow outs are the result, we can't ask them to not play as well as they can.Comment -

How are the opposing teams handling the running up of the score? I really think it is their opinions that matter the most, especially the management and coaching staff. On the one side, we have all witnessed comebacks that should have never happened because teams have let up after a big lead. However, the patriots are reaching points in the game that should reflect good sportsmanship, but do not show it. I think coach's reactions, such as Gibbs, would show us if the Pats crossed an unspoken line or not.Comment -
I was referring to the 2nd half of the game when they put up 32. Not the entire game. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. And just to be clear they were in and out in the 2nd half but by the end of the 4th quarter we had Rashad Baker as one of our safeties.
Not making excuses the Colts identified the weakness in the Defense (up the middle) and kicked the shit out of it. Manning played one of the best halves of football I have ever seen and our defense was unable to stop it. My only point is that this is not the same defense that faced Manning in the 2nd half of that game.
And for the record I think it is very clear at this point, to everyone (or should be) that the Pats didn't need Moss to compete. Moss was a high reward, low risk deal, he has made the Offense better, but I don't think anyone expected him to play this good. By the time the Pats made this deal they already had Welker and Stallworth.

What do you want New England to do? Kick a field goal on 4th down to make it a 41-0 game? Or perhaps take a knee and return the ball to Washington? Or hand it off to the fullback and tell him to run sideways?
If you take a knee instead of run a play on 4th down that would either result in a TD/FG, and there is ample time left in the game, the other team can even get offended at that! Because it is sort of saying 'look, we're taking it easy on you hunny, we'll just take a knee and let you play'.Comment -

What about records? If Brady & the Pats are this good why should he/they fall short of making a new records because they have to pull back so they dont hurt the other teams feelings.
