    ML this weekend
I have a particular soft spot for money lines, no spreads, no back door covers = no BS, imo.

I also have no problem ponying up a substantial amount in order to collect what i see as easy money. With that in mind i am looking at a couple of ML's this weekend.

    Colts -331 Pinny
    Carolina -215 Cris

    and to a lesser extent
    Cowboys -142 Pinny.

How do you guys feel about this type of wager, any interest or too much risk/reward?

Actually, I like the Bears straight up. The Bears are one of those teams with a great defense that is flying under the radar. Pittsburgh will struggle to score.

I really thought this total would open in the twenties. I guess the backlash from the Steelers/Cincy game has thrown it off a little.

Personally, I think laying -331 with the Colts this week would be asking for disaster. I think the Panthers and Cowboys win enough to make the small prices worthwhile.

          Hi Razz,
          Laying the Colts this week?
You think the Jags will win? You're a braver man than me. In all honesty i cannot see a Jags win - straight up, rivarly and all, no matter what way i look at it. Indy are putting big beats on all kindsa' teams this year. Pats at home, Cincy at home, Steelers (at home or away?? can't remember).
I suppose one of us will be cranky come Sunday night!

As for the Panthers, their D is creaming everybody at the moment. Stuff me, look at last week v Atlanta. Given that the Bucs struggled against the Saints last week (at home) and the Panthers hammered the Bucs on the road a couple of weeks ago, i'm happy with this ML.

BearS v Steelers. Bears are surprising everyone this year, D is very good. Spanked Panthers when no one gave them a chance. Big Ben is struggling to throw the ball with a busted thumb, which resulted in several picks last week. Still i am leaning with the Steelers. Reasons being that as good as the Bears defence is, their offence still struggle to score. The Steelers barely lost to the Bengals. Don't see the same offensive strike power with Bears. Great D, but gotta' score. Game could go either way. So this might be a pass game in ML terms, points perhaps (teaser for me).

I put a small bet on Jax +315. (1/2 unit)

It's hard to believe a 9-3 team can have less than a 25% chance of winning at home against a division foe that it has always played tough. I'm not predicting a Jax victory, mind you, I'm just saying that I wouldn't be suprised.

As for the Cowboys -142, I'd rather play the KC side of that bet. This game is a coinflip, despite Dallas being at home.

I'd take Carolina -215, and the Bears as well, which seems pretty unanimous.

I have no opinion on the Chi/Pit game, but love the Jaguars and the points.

Bears are starting to look alot like the Ravens team that won the superbowl. Great Defense, and a offense that just keeps the clock moving.

                Roth still nursing that thumb?

Not sure on this game. Dont bet NFL unless something really stands out to me.
