    Detroit Lions !
Five TD's so far in the first half.
Five offensive TD's, no pick sixes or defensive scoop and scores either.

I don't care if it's the jerky Titans. Goff's five TD's drives so far in the first half is mighty remarkable.

By far the most complete offense in the league right now. Will see if Goff can hold up in the playoffs.

But a pick in my Future thread: *Lions +360 to win NFC.

...I know that a lot of teams COULD win the NFC. But I have to believe the Lion probability is > 25%, which would make it a +EV play.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Personally, I don't think any NFC team can beat them in the playoffs.
Like you said that offense is loaded.

San Fransisco is not making a deep playoff run without Aiyuk, and especially without CMC.
I can't recall any RB besides CMC in the last twenty years that drove a team like he does, blocks like an offensive lineman. runs like a bulldozer and has amazing pass catching skills.
SF is down to their third string RB now that Mason went down, I'm sorry but SF is not going anywhere with Guerendo in the backfield and without Aiyuk out.
CMC is Purdy's security blanket, yes Purdy was very efficient last night, but I'm talking big picture here.

Cowboys are extremely overrated it's laughable, Lamb is a superstar but that's about it.
Ferguson is a nice TE, but their running game is a joke, Zeke and Dalvin Cook are so washed up, yeah, they both were forces to be reckoned with in 2018, too bad it's 2024 now.
Chew on this, Prescot has one more postseason wins then Daniel Jones, Prescot is two and five in the playoffs and cannot be trusted.

The team formerly known as the Redskins are not quite ready for primetime.

The only teams that could be trouble for Detroit are the Eagles and the Vikings with that pass blitz defense and speed demon Jefferson at wideout.

Not for nothing, keep an eye out for the Rams now that Matt Stafford's buddy Kupp is healthy again.
The entire NFC West Division are all four and four (Rams are three and four) and the Rams have pretty soft opponents the next three games.
That's my deep sleeper in this NFC Conference.

Long story short, it's there for the taking for the Lions, and they're pretty easy to root for as well.

Lions scored more 1st Quater TDs (2) yesterday than Eagles have scored in ALL 1st Quatrs of this year... ZERO.

Me too, the theme here is Detroit finished them all off with TD's, no field goals.
              Five for five.

Salud, Nasy. My thoughts are similar. I think you stated it more eloquently.

                1) I've been saying this about McCaffrey. Who trains harder? Read the Muscle & Fitness article about his quick-twitch workouts. As if the RB position was inter-changeable. Could you say the same for Earl Campbell or Barry Sanders?

                2) Yes, the other NFC teams are lacking. Doesn't someone figure out how to stop Jefferson so they can put the game on Darnold? Eagles are the most legit challenger, but I feel like they've picked up knocks from previous seasons.

My guy ten years ago was Matt Forte, Forte was extremely underrated.
Forte was a poor man's CMC.
Forte's skill set was pretty much the same as CMC, Forte had a very impressive four year stretch for the Bears from 2011-2015.

Great, and I mean great pass catching RB.
Do you realize that in 2014 Cutler targeted Forte 130 times, he hauled in 102 of them.
And a lot of those Cutler tosses weren't cupcakes either, some of those receptions were shoelace grabs, others were over his head...

Do the math, 102 for 130.That's eight targets per game, 6.5 receptions.
2014 he nearly had nearly 2000 total yards from scrimmage, over 1000 yards rushing, over 800 receiving yards, and most of those Cutler led Bears teams were bad, and that's being kind.

Let's say Detriot gets the 1 seed. How are we feeling about 2-4? Who gets what? Will the NFC South win a playoff game? How about the Packers? Can they go the road again like last year and win in Atlanta or Philadelphia?

(0:40) Forte was a tough guy. Not to be messed with.
