    2006 Chicago Bears Season Breakdown
    After injuries to Rex Grossman in the last few years he is back to claim that starting QB job, but he does have to compete with Greisie this year for that job.

    Team Strengths
    DEFENSE! DEFENSE! and even more DEFENSE!

    The Bears D just dominate last season, and I don't see any signs of them slowing down. Urlacher anchors a very fast, hard hitting defense that just pounts teams right into the ground week after week. On offense side of the ball, the Bears do a very good job of funning the football as well.

    Team Weaknesses

    The Bears passing game is just awful, and has been in recent years. I don't think the Bears can count on Grossman this year with him being injury prone like he has been in years past. Now they did bring in vetern QB Brian Griese to help stablize that passing game somewhat.

    2006 Bears Schedule:

    @Green Bay
    Detroit
    @Minnesota
    Seattle
    Buffalo
    @Arizona
    San Francisco
    Miami
    @NY Giants
    @NY Jets
    @New England
    Minnesota
    @St. Louis
    Tampa Bay
    @Detroit
    Green Bay

    The Bears on paper should dominate there divisional games this year, considering there division is so bad. But as we know thats why they play the games. My projection for the Bears this year is 9-7.

    I was just thinking of the Bears over/under possibilities, since I think they might be over-valued and came up with 9-7. I'm with you on that one. Dang... that's a pretty tough schedule for an NFC team... PLUS, they play the BUZZSAW (aka the Cardinals heh), that's -1 right there!!!! j/k;p
    My brain does feel 9-7, but my gut is crying 8-8. I think their division, while the worst in the NFL, will challenge them more this season.
