Taking the Titans and Points
Saturday's contest in Denver should have the Broncos looking at personnel instead of covering the spread against the Tennessee Titans.

Yes, this looks like a mismatch on paper, but remember that this is preseason and that all preseason underdogs of +4.5 points or more are now 40-19, 67.8 percent ATS!
Only one team has fit that criteria so far this year and the Colts covered as 5.5-point dogs in that contest vs. the Rams. Besides, the Titans starting unit did not perform badly in a 19-16 loss to Reggie Bush and the Saints last week.
New starting quarterback Billy Volek completed four of seven passes for 55 yards (7.9 yards per pass) and disgruntled running back Chris Brown carried the ball for 47 yards on just nine carries (5.2 yards per rush) while the defense allowed just one touchdown the entire game.
Denver coach Mike Shanahan has never been a fan of exhibition games, and he places more emphasis on players fighting for starting spots in these contests than he does on winning them. Last week was par for the course as four different running backs had at least five carries as the Broncos try to determine their starter, and Denver ended up losing 20-13 to the lowly Detroit Lions.
We look for the Broncos to emphasize the run again this week with their plethora of backs, which should allow the Titans to at least keep this game within a field goal if not pull off the outright upset.
Play: Titans +5.5 (-110)
