now that this guy is boycotting minicamp because he's not a #1 reciever anymore due to the javon walker trade. i'm wondering where you guys might draft him on your fantsy team ?

i'm in a 12 man league, so please keep that in mind. because, the 6th and 7th round usually when the talent level extremely drops off.

Pull a Zeke and take him in round 1.

I would say 6th round BBD. It is very possible that the Broncos and him come to terms and he has a great year, but probably not worth taking any earlier IMO.

doc, i'm was thinking that very same thing myself.

theres no doubt that Lelie is a vert talented reciever, but i gotta question myself if he will be one of those disgrunteled types playing this year.

I really want to believe he is too young to sabatoge his career by being a bitch all year. I look for him to play this year, have a big year and then be moved next year and end up making a lot of money.

I was considering keeping him until the Broncos acquired Walker. But I definitely won't now, and will let him be someone else's headache if they pick him in the early rounds.

Then again, I'm usually a couple of Vodka's deep when we start our draft so I'll probably forget all of this and pick him too early myself

He wasnt even a factor in my draft, I would just pick him up if he had slipped down lower in the Fantasy drafts. Just value pick if he is still left on the board with other average wide receivers.

Maybe the 7th. But I would only pick him up if he is the only quality wide receiver at that point, but Im sure there will be good picks left to choose from.

BBD, keep this name in mind: Darius Watts. Shanahan is the type to bench your ass just to spite you. I think Lelie is really trying to show up Shanahan and Shanahan don't play that. I think Lelie is awfully risky from the 6th to the 9th round in a regular yardage-scoring league. I'm thinkin 11th or 12th round strictly based on talent.

ah yes ebone.... Darius Watts the old marshal reciever. that guy did have some great hands didn't he.

when i start breaking down the AFC west, i'll make sure i checkout the reports on him.

Walker isn't 'all' the way back yet, though - and probably won't be until the following year. He's not going to be as explosive as he was in previous seasons.

Darius Watts, pending a miracle, is a pretty bad receiver with terrible hands.. He has great athletic tools, which is why Shanahan keeps him around, but he's still really raw and unseasoned.

I think Lelie isn't as big of a 'value' pick as he is being talked about. I am sure you can grab him in a later round - but when you get to the riff raff of receivers, he's definitly got to be the first guy off... I think it's a great gamble. I have a strong suspicion that once the dust settles there, and assuming he's still a Bronco, he'll be the 2nd option most of the time - and be the deep man. Walker isn't going to have the speed to get open deep like Lelie will, most likely. Walker's knee injury takes 2 years normally to get back to 'form'.

The main problem is that Plummer is throwing to all these guys.

How many receivers can you start per week? If only 2, you gotta be nuts even talking about Lelie. If 3, I see your point, but still don't touch him at all. If 4 or more, it gets interesting.

Lelie isn't Rod Smith, and probably can't hold a candle to Walker. He should be worried.

My final opinion: Don't touch him no matter what. Instead, consider picking up Javon Walker in the late rounds.

I heard Maurice Clarett & Freddy Mitchell are starting a semi-pro league down in Mexico. Maybe Ashley can get in on a piece of that action!

well, it looks like his stock is dropping even farther down as far as i'm concerned now.

he just was fined $11,000 today for missing mini camp.

it looks like ashley is asking for a trade right now, and the rumors have him ending up in philly. now if he does indeed end up there he will be there #1 reciever most likely.

Barbara Walters would be a #1 receiver in Philly. Good job with that TO situation, Eagles.

I strike everything from the record that I said previously after going to Atlanta.
I'd avoid Lelie until after I had 3 receivers on my roster... Even then, I might take Louis Lipps ahead of him...
If nothing else, I'd have a dude with a sweet name on my roster that didn't piss me off for lack of production.
