    New with a few questions!
    Hello!

I am new to online sports betting, and needed a little more information on some of the following subjects:
1.) What is a reputable website to place bets/pay outs for U.S. residents?
    2.)

I need help with the highlighted red portion of the picture.
    - Would I bet $50 and only receive $45.45 back if my pick won? Or would I receive $95.45 back if my team won?
The example was place on Denver winning, as they are placed as the underdog in the bets.. I think.
    Please explain this to me.
    Thank you.

Why would people bet if they never got back their initial amount back and received a smaller amount than what they put in? Think about it. You would get $95.

Thank you for clarifying. I know it makes sense, but I just wanted to make sure of the outcome. I have only done pool play with friends without spreads.

Mcduggly is correct, you'd get $95 back IF Denver wins the game or the game were to freakishly end in a tie. If the game ends with a SD win by 1 point, you get your original stake of $50 back, and if they lose by 2 or more you lose the $50.

Also, Bookmaker or 5Dimes are the two basic books most U.S. residents use.

You can PM me if you want clarification in the future on basic stuff like this if you want, just helping out. Good luck with your betting!

I've used 5dimes and know that many on the forums use them as their primary book also.

As to your second question, previous posters have answered it accurately

And yes, I would agree that 5dimes is probably the best sports book on the internet.

                Thanks everyone for the feedback!
OMG Denver won, but I didn't make the bet. ;(
                I will check out 5dimes.
