Sorry guys, I had the good fortune of playing 27 holes today, LOVE the spring time! I tailed the the Kentucky and Kentucky over plays, and I'm on KU... Lets go JayHawks!

I used to get solicitation e-mails from him all the time, and his signature was Matthew -- Pitt Viper.

I'm assuming it's not just a coincidence given this guy's screen name. Could be wrong both on the person and/or his agenda, but I doubt it.

No, you're on the money NC, it's another re-incarnation of Pitt Viper. He's a young nerdy kid who somehow deluded some people to pay for his picks a few years back and is somehow still at it. Giving an email address to this guy or paying him money is like paying the drive-through chick at Macca's to pick stocks for you.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I don't know who thei Pitt Viper guys is. I am just a guy who uses a local guy and bets between $25-200 a play. I only started posting on the POD post cause I loved the concept. A place where everyone can share their top play of the day. Simple as that.

To all that tailed me the year, congrats. I plan on posting my remaining POD's for this year, and plan to do so again next season.

I just found the SBR Forum in the fall while doing a Google search on hadicapping. My first season playing hoops since I was in my 20's (now in 40's) and like to play for a hobby. Keeps things interesting, but this thread has been very free of conflict for the season and it has helped me become more disciplined. Anyone that has played the book for any amount of time knows that the more picks you make the more of an edge to the bookmaker. Thanks everyone who has taken the time to post regularly on this thread. We know who puts the time and in and who doesn't. Thanks to Dchecks for posting the winning plays. Let's all get together for a similar thread during football. Still one more big weekend. Thanks again....

if MatthewPV is Pitt Viper, he'd gone through a lot of trouble to post one play a day for 130+ days and do zero self-promotion (stark contrast to Pitt Viper as i recall). i remember a couple of times when people questioned MPV's line or his record and he reacted in very level-headed manner that was the opposite of self-promotion. i don't know him so i can't say that i know anything to 100% certainty, but i'm a big believer in Occam's Razor. i think that any similarities to Pitt Viper with respect to name or initials are simply coincidences (after all, if he were that guy, why go with a name similar enough to invite comparisons and ridicule?). keep up the great work, MatthewPV - whomever you may be....

I second this, so many threads on here gets flamed and trolled to death. Only found this thread a couple of weeks ago, I'll definitely remember to keep my eyes open for it next season. I also hope you guys' will go on with threads like these for more sports, especially college football. Thank you all for making this thread what its been.

This has to be the most honest and chill threads on SBR. I have never seen such a productive thread long term that stayed away from the noise and drama. It stayed positive and helpful for months while producing winners. Something almost unheard of on these types of threads. Can't wait to fully participate in next year's ..... Or next sport's?
