**Maryland at Georgia Tech**

--Maryland (13-4 straight up, 4-6 against the spread) moves forward for the first time since losing its leading scorer Chris McCray for the season due to academic reasons. McCray was leading the Terrapins in scoring (15.2 points per game), was second in assists (3.5 APG) and tied for the team lead in steals (35).

--Since losing back-to-back road games at Miami and Duke, Gary Williams' teams has responded with two straight wins at home, knocking off Wake Forest (90-86) and Virginia Tech (81-72). However, the Terrapins are still just 0-4-1 ATS in five ACC games.

--Georgia Tech (9-7 SU, 5-7 ATS) has lost three in a row in this transition season for Paul Hewitt's program. The Yellow Jackets own quality home wins against Vanderbilt and Boston College, but they have recently gone down on the road against Wake Forest and North Carolina State. Then on Saturday, Clemson came into Alexander Memorial Coliseum and emerged with a 73-63 win as a two-point underdog. The Tigers destroyed G-Tech on the boards by a 44-23 count.

--G-Tech has won eight of its 10 home games, but the Yellow Jackets are just 3-4 ATS at home.

--The Terrapins are winless both SU and ATS in a pair of true road games.

--Georgia Tech has covered the spread in seven of the last nine head-to-head meetings between these long-time ACC rivals.

--Las Vegas Sports Consultants opened this game as a pick 'em with a total of 148.

**Cincinnati at Louisville**

--Both of these teams are seemingly headed south going into this spot, making this Big East tilt all the more important. Louisville has lost three straight, while Cincinnati has dropped three of its last four games.

--Cincinnati (14-5 SU, 6-9 ATS) snapped a three-game losing streak when it won a 71-66 decision Sunday over Rutgers. The Bearcats failed to cover the spread, however, as 9 1/2-point home favorites.

--Cincy will bring a 2-2 road record both SU and ATS into this game at Freedom Hall.

--Louisville (13-5 SU, 3-11 ATS) is off a 71-58 home loss to UConn as a 5 1/2-point underdog.

--Rick Pitino's squad is 11-3 SU at home, but those wins have mostly come against ho-hum competition. Even more telling is the abysmal 1-9 spread record at home for the Cardinals.

--Louisville's premier player Taquan Dean is "questionable" with a sprained ankle. He did not play in Saturday's loss versus UConn.

--The 'under' owns an incredible 8-2 record for the Cardinals at home.

--The 'under' has cashed at a 5-1 clip in Cincy's last six games.

--ESPN2 will have the telecast at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.

**Florida at South Carolina**

--Florida (17-1 SU, 8-4 ATS) is in bounce-back mode for the first time this year after losing 80-76 Saturday at Tennessee. The Gators were the last remaining unbeaten team and had a great chance to move into the top spot in the national rankings. But with the game tied at 76-76 in the final minute, UT's Chris Lofton stole a pass from Corey Brewer on a Florida fast-break opportunity, then threw long for Dane Bradshaw who converted the wide-open layup for the go-ahead bucket. UF's Lee Humphrey missed a 3-pointer with six seconds left and the Voluneers added a pair of game-clinching free throws. Lofton paced the Vols with a game-high 29 points.

--Brewer did make the trip to Columbia but his playing status is listed as "doubtful." Brewer sustained an ankle sprain in Saturday's loss at Tennessee, but still played most of the second half and finished with a team-high 20 points and eight rebounds. Although Brewer didn't practice Monday and was hobbling around campus on crunches, this space advises gamblers to not assume it's a given that he won't play.

--South Carolina (10-8 SU, 6-9 ATS) fell to 1-4 in SEC play following Saturday's 70-68 loss at Kentucky. On the bright side for the Gamecocks, especially their backers, they cashed tickets as six-point underdogs. In addition, the 'Cocks won outright at Vandy in the game that preceded the heartbreaker at Rupp Arena, where UK sophomore guard Ragon Rondo hit a 3-pointer with one second left to lift the Wildcats into the winner's circle.

--Most spots have the Gators tabbed as 2 1/2-point favorites with a 138-point tally.

--Tip-off is slated for 8:00 p.m. Eastern with television coverage provided by Jefferson Pilot in the Southeast and to ESPN Full Court subscribers.
