not a good night for college picks

Been on a good run lately. I always try to warn folks that when I see a nice long series of wins, it is only opening the door wider and wider for a string of losses. When you get up to 70% win rate I think it should actually be expected that this will happen. Well, It's happened. I just hope that it doesn't keep happening long. My goal is always long term (season) results, and I try not to focus too much on a daily result....both good ones as well as bad ones. I look at the season results over the last 2 weeks in combined results of NBA/NCAA hoops and still have a smile.

As I go throughout the season (as in baseball) I make continuing modifications to my wagering model. The last modification produced better results than those previously, and although it is still trending a profit I have identified yet another enhancement which can be made. It does make several changes to those games that were previously daily plays. It eliminates some of those that were losses, but also takes out some that were wins. Not fair just to eliminate the losses. Everthing must be applied evenly to both(all)games and teams. As more games are played and more to review, it makes it easier to identify specific trends that have been common to teams that have won and those that have not....so..........with the re-modifications we will call this "PLprogram3.08". My ultimate goal here is to have 1-3 games daily that it this model. It does include both NCAA and NBA in the procedure for selecting daily games. Using the internal filters of program 3.08 the next post here will be the new results since 1/16 and will be the program I use going forward.... should be up by around 2:30 Central time.

Now, no we cannot win all games. We always warn that when there is a long series of wins....the losses are lining up somewhere ready to storm their way through the door. There is no perfect "system"....but we work very hard to constantly improve! Also, some of the dates were incorrect on the original post. We apologize for that.
Baylor was removed for 1/26 since it was noted in the original post for the daily plays that the play for Baylor was only valid if Griffin remained out for OU. Griffin played therefore nullified the play.
