3pm - Dixie State +135 @ Denver
6pm - Rider -140 @ Manhattan
- Dixie State is determined to shake up the WAC in their premier NCAA Div. I season. Starting the group of players that got them in this spot, they have already edged out North Dakota and cruised past St. Katherine, a Div II school. I like their motivation, and ability to beat North Dakota by 1 pt showed experience. Denver doesn't look too impressive. They lost to UC-Riverside and Wyoming by 20,22.
- Equal amount on Rider to duplicate yesterday's victory at Manhattan, which I wrote-up the reasons for in yesterday's pick. I wouldn't have much hesitation at laying -2.5, although linesmakers likely figure it isn't easy to win twice b2b against a divisional rival, hence the low line despite Rider winning by 18. Given the Dixie St. at plus-odds, I took the ML here at -140 just in case Manhattan or the refs find a way to make it go down to the wire.
