Purdue has won 15 straight big ten home games dating back to last year . Huge home court advantage and have beaten 6 consecutive ranked teams in that span. That is why the line is what it is .

Yes Illini beat Purdue earlier, however Purdue shot* 25% from the floor in total with a 17% 3pt efficiency. I think Purdue improves on those pretty significantly wouldn’t we all? Michigan St is a better team (imo) than the Illini and as mentioned above, was obliterated by Purdue.
