texas seems to be losing a ton of players lately.
CINCINNATI (AP) -Former Texas forward Mike Williams is transferring to the University of Cincinnati, Bearcats coach Mick Cronin said Thursday.
Williams will have to sit out the 2006-07 season and then have two seasons of eligibility left.
The 6-foot-7, 230-pound Williams played in 32 games for the Longhorns last season, starting three. He averaged 2.3 points and 3.1 rebounds. He earned Academic All-Big 12 second-team honors.
Williams had nine points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes in Texas' regional semifinal win over West Virginia in the NCAA tournament. Texas lost to LSU in the regional final.
In two seasons, he averaged 2.7 points and 3.4 rebounds in 58 games
Texas had said last month that Williams decided to transfer.
