Haha... true. That whole organization has been run like a joke for decades. I vaguely recall reading an article a few years ago (maybe SI or something) where they were talking about the trends in sales/values of pro sports clubs and the different perspectives/philosophies of owners and such.

One of the main focuses of this article was how the owner of the clippers just absolutely REFUSED to put any more than the minimum amount of financial investment into his franchise and would refuse any offer (there have been many over the years) to purchase his club, no matter how large a profit it would present over his initial investment (I don't think he paid even $2 mill, and had received offers in excess of $200 mill).

His reasoning for this was apparently that he felt that no matter how much (or little) he put into his club, it's value would perpetually rise. That's why the Clips have always been like a farm team for the rest of the league. Apparently, over decades, he's been proven right, as his club's value has continued to rise.

Is that guy still the owner out there? Is he ever gonna sell 'em?

Also, anyone know how much longer they have Baron under contract? As long as they have him and Blake in a city like that, they'd be able to attract some FA's (assuming the owner would want that, haha).
