The European Basketball Championship of 2011, also referred to as EuroBasket 2011, will be the 37th regional championship held by FIBA Europe and will be hosted by Lithuania.

A total of 24 teams will participate in Eurobasket 2011. Lithuania automatically receives a place as the hosts, Countries that are competing in the 2010 FIBA world championship also receive a place, The other 6 Countries will be determined through qualifying matches starting August 2010.

Serb should not have been a DD favorite vs Germany (even without Dirk/Kaman). They barely beat Croatia and got alot of ref help there. Though I am surprised they are losing outright.

France are good dogs this year - they'll look to add Joakim Noah to the roster, I like them at defensive end and a few low scoring games.

i personally think Rubio is overvalued and Calderon is not at the best shape of his career.
I thought both Gasols wouldn't have taken part at the Spanish team... Even with those two guys, i think the Serbians can beat them and the Lithuanians can beat the Serbians.

Spain demolished the French NBAers 76-53
French team looked like highschool boys...

Lithuanish team is nice, but very youngsters...
Serbia is standard value...

Yesterday the spanish destroyed my favourite country:

Don`t be cheated by the final score,
the digit was much bigger, more than 20 points,
but they showed mercy the last minutes....

Spain has 5 active NBAers:
Gasol brothers, Calderon, Ibaka and Rudy F.
Navaro also played in the past in NBA and Rubio is a draft....

Don`t underestimate them....
Remember in Poland 2 years ago:

Eurobasket Qualifiers round

Finland v Portugal
Competing for a final 2 spots by 3 teams: Finland, Portugal and hungry. The winner of this game will secure a guarantee spot, so a lot is at stake. Since the Venue is at Helsinki (FIN) we should expect Finland to come out and ready.

In their last game, the Fin had beaten hungry at Szolnok 75-73, Gerald Lee's lay-up on the last sec & sealed the deal. Shoot at FG2P M/A 20/34 (58,8%) & FG3P M/A 6/23 (26,1%) which made up for their poor rebounding 26 to 33.

It will be tough for Portugal to win here away from home, but they do present a physical match up for the fin to really earn it.

Both teams is 2-8 of their last 10, & both rarely won or loss greater than 10 points covers more than once.
