How does Miami Heat lose to the L.A. Clippers?
Yes i am aware some teams have off nights but when i look at this clipper squad, all they have are young players like Griffin and Gordon and a veteran in Baron Davis. But how does a Miami Heat team lose to the clippers? I know the clippers are still a PRO team but they are definitely one of the worst teams in the league. Heat was on a road winning streak but should a team like them ever lose the clippers?

I just don't understand how a superior team can lose to a crap team like the clippers. The same with how the New England Patriots lost to the Cleveland Browns earlier in the NFL season and got blown out just like today with the heat against the clippers b/c this game was not even close. It is though a regular season game so it doesn't really count but even if the heat don't try much, shouldn't they win every game pretty easily against really weak competition like the clippers and the timberwolves? Most of the clippers players are so young and it just doesn't make any sense that a heat team would lose to the clippers unless they just didn't care.

A question i have about this is....

Is there any chance a team like the Miami Heat or Lakers would lose to a team like the Clippers or Timberwolves if say it was a 1 game playoff or if this game was for their nba contracts? If it was something like that, Heat and Lakers would win the game by at least 25 points right if that was the circumstances?

Clips shot 77% in the first quarter. And the Heat battled back, got with in two, and the Clips hit more shots to push it back up.

Clippers have been playing well the last 10 games, winning 7 out of 10.

Remember the Clippers beat the Spurs back when the Clippers were 3-15.

Yes i remember when they beat the spurs. The Spurs are still a top NBA team and it just doesn't make sense how they lose to a much younger and weaker Clipper team. I know people say there is no chance a college team can beat an NBA team. However, I'm actually starting to wonder if there is a chance an NBA team can lose to the top college team now because they lost against the Clippers and the Clippers have tons of rookies and 1st and 2nd year players on their rosters. And many of these rookies and 1st/2nd year NBA players just couldn't win against other top teams even though their team was still solid though.

It's all Griffin. He brings a different cadence to an erratic franchise; his consistency and demeanor has helped this team become steady and competitive.

Clips will continue to be undervalued for a while. They're a .500-type team right now at worst.

As for how the Heat lose in this spot, if you watch the NBA enough, nothing surprises you. Have to take travel, motivation and such into consideration.

Whenever you have an elite team playing a basement team more times than not the basement team plays with a lil more umph... As you can see the clips dont lack talent they lack CONSISTENT motivation... They have prolly the best young group in the league along with memphis and okc... Keep ur eye on this team going forward... Im waiting to see how they follow up this win

                  All valid...

Add: These are Professionals... the best possible players that play from a crop of hundreds... thousands...

Once in a while, the "lesser" pros, even being that, play better on a Wednesday night... the end...

It's just how things work in sports. Especially the NBA It's bullshit but isn't nothing we can do about it. They have to have games like this. If they didn't we wouldn't be able to bet all them because it'd be too easy.

Bad spot for the Heat, tremendous shooting first half for the Clips, and Lebron was clearly hobbled towards the end of the game.

This Clippers team has a lot of young talent, and I don't just mean Griffin (though he's a freak of nature). Don't underestimate a good homecourt advantage either.

I was more trying to point out that the Clippers are playing better ball now then they were back when they beat the Spurs. So this win by the Clippers was more likely to happen. The road takes its toll on teams, and winning 13 straight is tough (Record is 16 by a 70's Lakers team), so they were bound to lose sometime. They did battle back after a terrible first, and a lights out first by the Clips.

Using the term "weaker" is very a very "public" statement... This is why vegas builds big buildings...

As a poker player "AA" is at BEST a 8:1 favorite... that still means at LEAST every 8x it gets beat...

I understand your frustration. Clippers are just getting better and Heat got caught off guard. Upsets happen. Makes sports great.

Clippers played great you can't take that away from them by saying Miami played badly. But you could see how much Miami depends on Wade and LBJ, when Bosh and the rest of the team kept getting rejected over and over again like a bunch of clowns.

Clippers got a lot of offensive rebounds, shot well and executed tonight. The Heat were stagnant on offense, poor shot selections and shot poorly. The Heat have a target on their back and every team is gonna give them their best shot.

Worse. Although Denver doesn't have the athleticism up front that the Clippers have which was a huge factor tonight.

Are you serious? You act as if Miami was playing a HS team tonite. Clippers record is deceiving as they have vastly improved since the beginning of December. This is professional sports and the Clippers players get paid too. While they may not have a D.Wade, Bron-bron, or Bosh.... all of the Clippers players were most likely the best players on there college team. Don't underestimate HC advantage and how damn good Griffin and Gordon is, both of those cats could start for basically any team in the NBA...especially Griffin.

y are u asking dumb questions like these? yes NE lost to the browns, yes spurs lost to clippers, yes miami got beat by clippers, yes lakers got their asses whooped a couple of times, yes the seahawks won as double digit underdogs, UPSETS happen.

Because if it wasn't for the upsets, the sportsbooks of the world would go broke. As everyone would bet the farm on the clear "lock".

LOL! These games are the 'lock picks' in a world of 'locks'.

Besides, the Clippers team has a lot of talent and now a lot of motivation from Blake Griffin. While the Clippers were busy losing and slacking off earlier this season, he would go out and perform night after night in what seem an effort in futility. However, the rest of the team took notice and decided for themselves if he could work hard and not be daunted by losing, they could at least put more effort in themselves. The results is that they are playing more solid basketball. You might look at their overall record and say they suck. But their record of late have them playing like an over .500 team.

                                                          but you are wrong

the clippers have a very talented team, as they mesh and become more experienced they will be even better and when kaman comes back they will be awesome

                                                          clippers could pass .500
