    ESPN Insider
Guys do any of think espn the insider is a good subscription to have, in terms of using it as a gauge to pick games. i mean they r mostly 'expert' and should be able to give good info.

but i just want to know if any of u r using them or what u think about subscribing to the service. its about 5 buck a mth for 1 year sub. opinions?

    thanks

I don't know anyone who is an insider, but in general ESPN is trash when it comes to picking games. They're an entertainment network. Whenever I hear one of their "experts" mention the spread and make a pick I usually fade them and it has worked out. For instance "I'm going to take my whole 401k and put it on Cleveland +6!" (about Lebron's return to Cleveland)

Insider can be useful for trade rumors and pre-draft chatter. Chad Ford is excellent at getting inside info on who teams like in the draft. Dont expect quality analysis though. Hollingers player ratings could be useful, but his team rankings are off the wall. You can find most of the info on other sites anyway. Def not worth a subscription to me, and definitely not something you wanna use for gambling. I can see paying for it if they had some promo running, like $5 per year, anything more is not justified imo.

You can get it for free if you order ESPN magazine, which I got a special for about $3 a year. Just be patient one will come around.

Yeah that was the promo i was thinking of, didnt know they still run it and it was 3 bucks, for that its worth it. Just think about how much you're over paying if you dont get that deal, lol.
