    Big Sunday play for me
    Sixers +1

Philly's been playing much better ball lately. Meeks has been a solid addition. Nearly beat Boston last time out, and have won four out of six overall, with losses to the Celts (by 1) and at Atlanta (by 5). Sixers have covered in seven straight games.

New Orleans is on a downswing, going 3-7 after an 11-1 start. They haven't hit triple-digits once during that span.

    I really like this play.

Philly had also won 5 straight at home before losing by a point to Boston.

          what's the reason for this?

GL on Philly think I might take them too after the form of both teams.

Both bets are winners no coincidences. Philly is the most improved team I have seen although there record don't say it yet, but all the other numbers are on the rise with Philly and soon the wins will follow more. As for the Under in San An... I like it as well, most wont because San An has been shooting lights out and surpassing triple digits every game it seems, especially at home. Alot of San Ann's success this year can be traced back to the improved play of Richard Jefferson on the perimiter shooting the 3, but Portland always plays them tough and Portlands length and athleticism will give them fits on the perimeter. I look for San An to struggle from the perimter and Portland might just win the game outright since they have started to turn the corner recently.

Oddsmakers are in a quandry on the San An team right now. San is a good team, don't get me wrong, but they have benefited from unsustainable shooting against really weak teams for the most part. Some of the better teams they have beat they have caught them at the right time. Look at San Ann's 2 home loses this year. NO,Dal. Both great defensive units and NO was early when they came out of the gates fast and Dal has locked teams down on the road this year. Portland ran real bad until there recent surge, but that was on the offensive end with Roy in and out of the line up. Defense was still good and will be with there length and commitment to play D.

San an beat Orl at home a few weeks back, but I watched that game and it was just a fluke luck. Ginobli, Parker went nuts inside of 4 minutes from 3pt land, otherwise Orlando wins that game and San An stays well below 100 pts.

I actually think Portland +8 is a better bet than the under because I see Portland holding San An under 100 pts thus making the cover for Portland very likely. Potland has given the Spurs problems in the past and with Portlands improved play I see that continuing.

I'm actually shocked it's 8. I figured it'd be like 5.5 or 6. You're right -- Portland has traditionally given SA fits. I agree that 8 seems like a no-brainer play as well. I could see a 95-91 type Spurs win.

That's the quandry I am talking about for oddsmakers. As well as Spurs have played oddsmakers have to respect that. This is a great situation to play Portland because Spurs are getting overvalued at the same time stepping up in class against a bonafide defense. Something the Spurs have not faced or done very well against.

For all the people who were on the public bandwagon following NOH. This thread should be solid proof of how important form is in the NBA.
