i don't think Rondo will play.
and Big Baby is real woosy with virus.
the starting unit really had to work last night to overcome the bench deficit.
with Philly playing strong and hungry, i can't say i like the
Celtics on a b2b here. they've won 8 in a row, would not
be surprised to see them play a lazy game.
no play for me.
boston is the worst b2b team in the league just my cent

All three refs favor the road team ATS. Wall 7-8, Mauer 6-10 HOME team ATS. Boston is 8-2 SU in Leon Wood games, only two losses were both @Magic. I don't blindly bet these refs stats though, leaning 76ers at projected line of 5-6

this is a terrible analogy for a back to back on the opening game, that was a huge game for both teams (heat and celts huge emotional situation). i agree on the B2B, but that game you cannot relate to anything because of that particular situation. look at where both teams are now.

I would not bet the Celtics until their flu bug has passed.
Most of their bench is affected right now, Doc was commenting on the pregame show last night that a virus was caught by a few players the night of the NJ game and they havn't been able to practice properly since.
Last night the big 3 stepped up but now on a b2b with a road game, the flu could be more of a factor.
Not saying they won't win, just don't think it is wise bet.

I agree with all of you. I'm just going by what the ref numbers tell me! Truthfully, if I had to pick this game just based on the teams, I would take Philly too.

Doc rivers is 50-30 ATS in b2b situations as the coach of the Celtics. I don't think they are as bad b2b as people think

philly is a different team here recently with contributors from all over....jodie meeks starting now- scoring machine....evan turner making a few shots.....still got ig, young, brand, lou williams.....they are playing really well together and blowing teams outta the water.
they have all these good players figuring out how to play together...they are dangerous and boston is on a back to back possibly short staffed. id really stay away from this one.

This is flat out untrue Boston has won their last 2 back to backs (portland and atlanta w/ Joe) and their last loss in a b2b was to dallas by 2. that and the cavs game are the only 2 they have lost against 4 wins. Plus boston killed the nuggets last night and have won 8 straight... how can you argue with that?

BOS win streak has to end.. 8 is long.. as much as I've made on them
and love the team.. Rondo really should sit. He's hurting and cannot play like the real RR
without rest on his hamstring and foot. Davis looked ready to fall over last night and before halftime
said when asked how he feels "woosy".
I know they don't give a FF about win streaks. Way outgrown that.
But they will have the men on the floor who are more than capable of beating this 76er team by 10+
if the shots fall and they play strong defense. We all know that.
Overconfidence in Philly because they look good now is not justified
the Big 3 will all be there playing and have never lost in Philly.
No reason in going on about it but I choose to pass this and if they win this
I will pass @ Charlotte Saturday Night also.
I want them to lose a game or get at least 2 full days rest
before I tap the green keg again.

i'm sorry but you have to take into account the teams they've been "blowing out". Portland, who is struggling big-time, is the only decent win and then they've beaten Cleveland, Charlotte and New Jersey all at home...hardly the toughest opposition is it? this is the Celtics we're talking about here...

portland is a good team and so is charlotte....and even if those other teams are bad...the sixers are suppose to be one of those "bad teams" (which they were) but they're winning decisively with contributions from all over the court. too many skillful players playing at such a high level.

Philly is keeping it close for the time being. I guess we will see if those old Celtic legs will hold up on this back to back..
