I do these every year as you know. Decided to call it quits on the NHL, just dont know enough about hockey other then the Penguins.

Here are some thoughts on teams

Miami Heat +170 - Not even worth it. This is not different then placing a bet on the baseball game tonight. Don't see why anyone would tie up there money for a year on these odds

Lakers +280 - Always been a fan of the Lakers, but this again, is just not worth it to me.

Celtics +1000 - Too old IMO. With Shaq and Garnett there always good for injuries.

Bulls +2400 - Even though they have some how been named by the best team in the NBA, and Noah is the best player in the NBA, I don't see it happening. Boozer will help, but who knows with his health

Mavs +2500 - They will never get it done in there current state

Spurs +3200 - Getting up there in age as well. Talks of Parker going. Some injury concerns as well with the big 3 on this team

Nuggets +3500 - My team last year, they didnt get it done obviously but I think they could had Karl stayed the whole year. With the Carmelo controversy, I dont see it

My Pick To win the NBA Championship :

    Orlando +1400

I will always cheer for the Lakers to win it all, but I will be backing this team as well and I think they can get it done. They have all the pieces. As long as the health remains. JJ Reddick staying was huge to me, hes coming into his own as an NBA player and a great role player. Q. Richardson could be great coming off the bench for some 3's. Dwight Howard will always be consistent. Van Gundy is insane but he generally knows what he's doing and they've got the team that can play up against the Heat.

Let me know what ya think

Lol. The only current form I could take seriously is the last time I saw them play a meaningful game

Prob right Miami or Lakers will win it, but just no value at all in those picks. Waiting 9 months for a +200 bet to win not worth it to me

Sorry, but I'm pretty sure the Magic will do worse than last year.

you can't judge a team by watching preseason games, playoff teams especially veteran teams (lakers, celtics, spurs) usually don't take the preseason seriously, they could care less about playing their bench warmers for a long period of time

Decent odds but no chance of happening. If you plan on hedging later on in the playoff, it's ok to take orlando now, but if you do not have any plan to hedge, send the money for donation instead. VC is mentally weak, Dwight Howard.. is weak offensively. He needs to spend more time practicing his post move instead of practicing scoring from half court.
