NJ/Atlanta over 186.5 - Both teams have gotten their offenses going recently and that should be enough to push this over a low number

Boston/Detroit under 182 - Counting on another half court defensive oriented game between these two teams to keep this under the number

New Jersey +3.5. Hot hand takes on the cold hand. Nets have covered last three times as road dogs.

Chicago -7.5. Kings have been a covering machine on the road, but they just aren't that good. Bulls better since the coaching change, and out to erase the OT loss to Portland.

IDAHO +9: Sure, Boise State is 5-1 straight up on the road while winning by an average of +9.7 points per game. However, those numbers are padded by non-lined road wins over the likes of Albany, Utah Valley and Southern Utah. The only decent team that the Broncos have faced on the road has been Montana State, which not so coincidentally happens to be their only road loss. Now Idaho may not be much, but at least they are a Division IA program, which is more than can be said for the three Boise road opponents previously mentioned. Besides, the Vandals have actually been respectable at home, where they are 3-3 SU while narrowly outscoring their opponents by +0.2 points per game.


FLORIDA ATLANTIC +4: Simply put, Florida International should not be favored over anybody. The Golden Panthers have now lost six straight games SU to fall to 3-9 on the year. Florida Atlantic is a respectable 3-3 SU in their last six games, and they swept all three head-to-head meetings last season including a win in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

New Orleans Hornets / Phoenix Suns Over 206½

Even though Hornets are playing b2b, this number is rather low for a Phoenix home game. Hornets have young legs and if Phoenix dictates the tempo there's very good likelyhood this game goes over.

new jersey is surging right now but they will run into a hawks team who will dominate them at home. NJ is on a second night of back to back where they beat charlotte but will lose to a more atheletic atlanta team

Atlanta Hawks -3½- Hawks have a better record than when losing the previous night. Hawks have lost 3 straight road games but are back at home for tonight's meeting. Things should turn around.

Hornets/Suns Over 206½ - Even if the Hornets played last night, they should be able to score 100+ points again. Nice 13-5 road record. The Suns at home. That's usually lots of points. Should end around 215 points.

Boston Celtics +2
The Boston Celtics lost to Detroit earlier this year by a bucket and I think they are looking for revenge tonight. Kevin Garnett is a warrior and will have a great game on the offensive and defensive end tonight. I'm taking the Celtics in this situation.


Houston Rockets -9
The Knicks are a very bad basketball team especially on the road this year. They have lost 12 of 13 games this year when playing on the road. I am quite certain they will have no answer against Yao Ming so I am confident Houston will cover the spread tonight.

Baylor -1.5 - Pretty evenly matched teams, but Baylor's guards will be able to handle Arkansas pressure better than most teams. Even though not a true home game, Baylor will have the majority of the support, and Arkansas was beaten badly in its other trip to Big XII country.

Washington +3.5 - Points are simply an unneccessary bonus here, as I look for Washington to win this one going away. Despite losing all three meetings last year, the Huskies played WSU close and could have easily won each game. Now, with the return of Appleby, this year's UW team is becoming stronger and stronger, and I look for them to finish the year in the top 25. I'll play them any time they are -3 or better at home.

Jacksonville St. +18
Analysis: On paper this looks like a blowout. I don’t think so! While Austin Peay is #2 in the Ohio Valley Conference Standings, Jacksonville St. hasn’t exactly faired poorly against the conference elite. They lost by 1 point to they #1 team in the conference, SE Missouri St., in their 2nd most recent game and earlier in the season they only lost to the #3 team in the conference, Samford, by 10 points. Is Austin Peay a better ball team? Sure they are. Are they 18 points better than Jacksonville St? Not unless Trenton Hassell has any eligibility remaining! Take Jacksonville St. and the points.

Notre Dame -5.5
Notre Dame is a solid squad, very good at home and should be able to come away with the W against a UConn team that doesnt have an easy time scoring against real teams

Northern Arizona +4
The Lumberjacks are the better team, they score better, shoot better, outrebound and play better all around defense than the Vikings... plus you are getting 4 points, I like the Lumberjacks in this one to cover and win outright
