so i deposited 800 dollars into my betway account. i just made the account 5 minutes prior. after depositing they gave me a free 100 dollar bet. i put all 900 to win 2725 on golden state to come back game 2. they came back and i won . the balance was 2725. i go check my account balance the next day and it was zero. my tickets are still there as winners but my balance is zero.

they sent me an email ; Thank you for choosing BetwayWe have noticed that the name on one or more of the deposit method/s that you have registered does not match the name registered on your Betway account.
In compliance with our policy, you are only allowed to fund your account with your own personal financial accounts and hence we have locked the deposit method(s).
Your account balance has now been reset to zero and the transactions will be refunded.
Should you wish to continue playing, simply continue depositing with a financial method that is registered in your own name.


now what they said is not true. the cards i used are under my name. i tried calling customer service and they are not available. i even tried live help and that was down as well.

There must be a reason for them to say this.

Did you register the account with the correct details and spelling?

Or mis-entered the name on the card when depositing maybe?


If you can see your registration details, I would take a print screen and then send that along with a pic of the card you used in reply to that email and say you think they are mistaken.

If that does not work, you are welcome to submit an SBR complaint form and we can try asking for a mangerial review.

It sounds like they should have penalized your brother's account, not yours.

Was your brothers account ever limited to low max bets or banned? That could affect how they respond.

Sounds like they think this account does not match the card still.


If they do not believe you, there probably is not much SBR can do to change that, I think you'll need to get IBAS involved. If you can show this account name matches the card you used on this account, I think there is a good chance IBAS will order them to honour your bets.

Giving opinion opposite of Optional = playing games / drama. Guy parlays two 30:1 bets, given the money for over a week, spends some of it thinking hes a winner, as he should, gets the entire parlay reversed instead of at least one being paid out. Only is reversed once he requests payout. Optional 110% believes the book should owe $0.

Meanwhile US books pay 70k error when 100:1 draw offered when true odds were likely 2:1. Several examples of books owning their mistake for a couple thousand meanwhile making MILLIONS monthly off bettors. God forbid someone beat your own internal failure for a few thousand when making millions.

He may very well be up to something, but it's also a decent chance it's just as he says and he let his brother use his card once, innocently, and this really is his own account.

I'm not "siding" with anyone by saying if the card matches this account and there is no other problem with the brothers accounts, then they should honor his bets.

When I started online betting back in 2005 I was hanging out with 3 or 4 friends and we were watching soccer games all day long. All of us used the sportsbook bwin (back then it was named betandwin) and all of us used C&B for deposits (C&B was the first popular eWallet in Germany, operated by Deutsche Telekom but shut down a while ago) on ONE laptop with the same IP. We used to use our C&B wallets to make a deposit at each other's accounts ALL THE TIME whenever someone didn't have money on his wallet or lost a side bet. This was going for a year or two, two or three Saturdays a months and there was not one incident with bwin or C&B to intervene although it was a clear breach of their terms (which we didn't know). We also took all the reload bonuses and free bets and bwin could have easily alleged us of bonus abuse but they didn't care.

What I want to say is that using someone else's wallet or CC is actually not a big thing as long as you have the permission of the other person to use it and you can prove that.

How is it illegal to use my card on my own account ? And they have no right to remove my winnings based on no proof . I contacted them and sent them all the necessary info . They will be refunded my account for tomorrow . To suggest that I was doing something wrong by depositing with my own card is plane ignorance .
