roy is not playing but to me i could care less, getting 9 points in a playoff game where the suns' defense never makes it into the arena is a gift. this is either a gift or a sucker bet.

Dude man im guessing you havent watch the suns played lately; there D is much improved last 20 games compare to the rest of the season. Majoprity of their victory came from shutting down their opponents and pushing the ball at extreme high tempo upcourt to score quick baskets. Denver and Utah are one of the great offensive team in the league and the last 2 seasonal final games SUNS had their D all over their asses and their uptempo game kept dropping easy layups and dunks. Just dont ever underestimate the SUNS D. Another important stat is Suns will likely want to blow out portland today. First of all, 76.7% of the teams winning game 1 will likely advance to next round (Suns will not allow a Royless Blazers to beat them), secondly PHX has one of the hottest home crowd that will increase their highly energized uptempo offense. Lastly, I believe suns will likely want to show the world they can blow out teams like what other teams like Cavs, nuggets and atlanta which are all great contenders for this year. SUNS wont let their fans down at home. BUt to be safe im pretty sure first half suns will definitely cover i think they are gonna use the mentality that every elite team is trying to do, blow out in the first half, demotivate and demoralized the other team, so that the second half they have such a comfortable lead they can rest Amare and Nash; as if the other team tries catching up like wat the bulls and bucks that by the time they are tired, and lack the sufficient game time. This my take!!!

Can't see suns losing this first one at home. Not sure about the cover though, could be close.

suns r great last few games, but cant really judge it since not all teams they played were playing hard as they were (included utah n denver).
remember that feb game where all the hypes bout suns winning streak n blazers r without roy n camby yet? deja vu can happen again with all these media hypes.
i dont expect to see cav/bulls or mil/atl HT blowout here, more like heat/celtic n utah/denver game here.
suns will most likely to win it, but +8 is big cover here

Without Roy, it is too unpredictable to choose Portland.

Either go with Sun's or stay away from this one without Roy.

these two team match up pretty well even without brandon roy. they may not win but portland probably covers to end the streak of favs covering since yesterday. expect more favs to cover during the day.

I like PHX in a blowout they have been shooting lights out from 3 since the all star break and Amare has been a beast. That being said I think the over is a safer bet. Sometimes if the Suns have a big lead they take the foot off the gas and this could be a prime situation for some lame back door cover for the Blazers. Good Luck to everyone tonight!!!!
