I understand its easy to count out the Lakers based on their recent performance, but I think LA takes the West again. LA has had the #1 seed wrapped up for a while, so these recent performances shouldn't be over-analyzed.
Kobe is still the best player in the world. That front court is still dominant with Gasol and Bynum. It's still Phil Jackson. And home court is locked up. It's strange to think LA isn't the most popular pick, but they are still the World Champs.

I agree. Too many people are sleeping on the reigning champs. The Lakers have just been coasting the past several games, and quite frankly don't care that they've lost a lot of them. They know that the postseason is what counts, and I think if they come full force, there's no stopping them again this postseason (at least until the Finals).
