    Pacers +10 @ Boston 03/12/2010
Now this game is not until tommorow, but since we have such a small card today I am already looking ahead. Lines were just released for games tommorow already and I almost fell out of my chair when I seen this one.. Boston -10???? Now, I know the Pacers are not exactly what we call a good team, but -10...Boston??? Nah, I am not buying it. I guess I will pay money to see that happen because as far as I am concerned Boston has no business being that kinda chalk to anybody in the NBA...Even if Indiana barely qualifies.

Boston... Now I know from being on this site for awhile there are quite a few Boston homers that will bet Boston and keep playing them. I have been telling folks for months this is not the Boston team you have come to love. This is not the Boston team that won the NBA Championship just a couple years ago.. Sure they still have some of the same players and of course the big 3, but if you watch those guys play you know they are not the same. Call it old age, call it injuries or whatever you want to call it, but I seen all the glaring signs coming months ago and there are a couple here reading this now remember me telling them so. The Boston team has no fight left. They are slow they don't get to loose balls they are about the least efficient offensive team in the NBA. Boston is at the point now if Ray Allen doesn't have a good nite they might just lose this game tommorow as they have no real offensive weapons outside of him and the problem with him being your best offensive weapon is he can't create for himself. He is a run behind screens and catch and shoot guy and a damn dood one for many years, but even he is not as good as he once was. Paul Pierce is playing hurt, tired, beat up. He once was the man of this team and now he just looks bad. Yea, he can still get a few shots of and he will make som, but he is just a shell of his former self... Pierce has lost many steps. Garnett, nothing to really say.. He is average at best offensively.. Kendrick Perkins.. NO threat offensively.. Rondo... If you keep him out of the paint he is not a scorer.

For all of Boston's offensive woes they would be allright if they still had that defense, but even that is not all that great. There best defender is Ray Allen.. Without Ray Allen this team would really be bad..

Now, I know some of my opinions here will ruffle some feathers.. Keep in mind these are objective opinions as I am not a fan of NBA teams... I am however a big homer when it comes to money and Fading Boston has been good for me all year. Folks, the numbers don't lie Boston is 24-38-1 ATS and 7-22-1 ATS At home. This team has been overvalued all year and they remain overvalued in this spot imo.. All I can say is I am thankful for all of Boston's fans for keeping the numbers high all year.

    My Pick: Pacers +10

disclaimer... as always tail at your own risk.. nothing guranteed in gambling.

I was waiting for all the lines to come out for tommorow and soon as thegreek posted this it was Boston-10 and I jumped all over it and now I see the line is now -9.5. I don't see it returning to 10, but maybe -8.5 -9 before tip.

This going to be a 10U bet for you Shoe??? I know you aint playing Boston. I might put some on the Pacers ML when they release it.. There ain't nothing off limits with Boston.. Pacers will score some points and have more offensive weapons on the court than Boston.

Let me know how that goes.. I personally don't have a technical way of doing things.Just not a technical type person, but have nothing against it as I am not very computer savvy. I put my little 10 units on it immediately..

I would be stupid to put money on Celtics but I think they bounce back and win easy in the end. Pacers might cover though but they are a bad team that can loose by dd to any team in this league on the road.

                      Very nice write up though.

                        Thank you!

Well, I here what your saying about Boston, but people have been saying that for a long time... Who have they beat? Who have they beat well and punished??? Of course this is risky taking Indy.. Gambling by nature is hard/risky proposition. If it wasn't the casino's in Vegas wouldn't be there or be as nice as they are. I am from the school of..."The trend is your friend" The trend is Boston doesn't cover spreads....especially at home and until they prove otherwise and start to bite me I will keep my foot on the pedal and fade them over-hyped fukks into total oblivion. Boston will have to start costing me money because right now the nipple is warm and fuzzy and I am on it.

Ride the streak while it lasts. Same as Dallas getting DD spreads at home.

That is very true. It's already down to 9.5

Boston clearly lacked a lot of energy against Memphis and it'll be interesting to see if they can bring it against Pacers. Their shooting was also horrible. Pacers is the logical move, it has to be.

Funny thing is how many people on this site call the Spurs old, but nobody ever calls Boston old??? Boston is very old for NBA and there play shows it while the Spurs just continue going about ther business. Spurs might not be a championship contender anymore but they are twice the team Boston is.
