Just woke up and I was reading some of the later responses and a common one was...."it looks to easy" Well, I personally don't think it looks easy at all. Both teams are playing on B2B and the home team actually has more athletes than the visiting team.. This is not a standard handicapped pick. I am looking at a couple of angles that have nothing to do with handicapping. Mainly, the Sixers appear to be just finishing out the remaining games with no emphasis on winning. Sure they could still win tonite with there bench players in the 4thQ. Again, I expect Charlotte to play this game with more purpose and intensity as they are vying for a playoff spot. Does it mean Charlotte will win? No. It may not matter Sixers could still win and Charlotte is not usually road chalk and haven't ever been road chalk in Phily.

No, I am leaning on passing on that game. I have no Crystal ball. I missed the better# and I will not chase the game down to 5. Saying I have no crystal ball is in reference to playing Detroit. I would have to assume Detroit "shows up" to play a game against a very good team. Detroit has not gave much evidence of doing that all year. The only thing going for Detroit is Utah played last nite. Which may be a strong factor here. Detroit also won there last time out and that might keep them satisfied for the next several games. Thus, I think they have no strong intentions of winning games this year or lately. Detroit appears to be thinking about there draft slotting as well. I would love the bet if I thought Detroit was concerened with winning games, but I am not sure they are concerned with winning. One other thing to keep in mind is Utah has owned there ass, but with Utah playing last nite they appear to be overvalued road chalk. I think this is however a Detroit play or pass and I think I will pass here.

Anything against the sixers is a steal. The bobcats arent a terrible team and the sixers are a mess right now trying to develop iguadala into a dwayne wade type of player which he will never be!

I believe that games in which both teams are playing back to back, the better defense and more experience team will prevail. Charlotte is one of the best defensive teams in the league and they take great pride in doing so. Also, Charlotte is fighting for the playoffs, whereas Philly is hoping they get lucky and get John Wall.

Thank you Williams... My main basis for this pick. I think Charlotte would like to make it to the playoffs. They might not last long in the playoffs,but that is most teams aspirations when the season starts. This is a risky bet just like any other bet, but you and I are on the same page and that has been a good thing lately.

Really though philly should be favored here to be honest and if charlotte is favored then lyon is right its for a good reason. The bobcats shouldnt be favored in any road building except gs and nj. Only god knows what philly team will show up. IF the bobcats cant win this game they dont deserve to be in the playoffs.

Here's where this gets interesting, and why I will be playing Charlotte ATS often down the stretch....

Larry Brown is a great coach and has done a nice job with this team. They are a defense-first team and they know they can compete with anyone. Because of this, getting into the playoffs doesn't just mean an appearance and a first-round exit for the Bobcats. This team believes they could actually cause some damage if they can get in.

I expect tonight's game to be ugly, and ugly favors Charlotte.

Well, they sure did show some resilency and mental toughness last nite coming from behind to win and cover the spread agaisnt a Heat team that had been playing very well. Charlotte was down at least 14 pts in that game late in the 2Q. Hopefully, Charloote's momentum carries over to tonite as Philly had a ghastly performance on the road to the lowly Pacers and part of the reason was how the coach managed there resources... Just sat those starters when there was still a game to be won last nite.. Williams, it was like they wanted to lose.

Oh, I had them as well. That's why I know so much about it... Was 3-1 last nite and was supposed to be 4-0 and probably would have been had that game been played to win... Philly, didn't play to win that game. I have watched thousands up thousands of NBA games over my life time and I am convinced that Philly wasn't playing to win... I am not saying it was rigged.. Had they won with the second crew that would have been fine,but they didn't really care either way.

That's right. Some organizations think this way when they are out of it. The only thing is Sixers probably won't make it as obviuos tonite as they did last nite since they have paying fans in attendance, but they have played poorly at home all year anyways. So will see.

Love the NBA card tonite BTW..

bobcats were road favs at the Clips few weeks ago. That didn't turn out so well as Cap Jack shot 1-16 but on the bright side he probably can't have a worse game. No way I play the 76ers. Lyon is right on with the Bobcats, its gotta be Bobcats or pass.

I think I would do away with Miami as they as always liable to lay an egg. Perhaps teasing OKC, NYK, or Dallas would be better.

Not a teaser player myself, but what you have listed looks reasonable although I have to admit the Utah picks scares me. Some folks here I respect like Detroit covering the +6 and the last time the Jazz were road favorites this much was to the Clippers recently and they straight up loss that game by more than 3 pts I believe.

As far as Miami... I see Williams is not comfortable with that, but I like it.. I have actually bet Miami -10 as well... Interesting stats in that game.

Tonites Refs in the Heat game...Have combined to work 14 games over the last 2+ yrs when the Clippers were on the road and in that time the Clippers have went 0-14 S/U and 0-14 ATS...Couple that with the Clippers recent play and Miami in the playoff hunt I think they come prepared tonite as the Clippers have mailed it in.

Lyon, how many units you putting on the Heat game. I think they come out and steamroll Clipps, but you never know with the Heat. Plus 10 points is a lot, and i'm not really thrilled about the matchups down low. Btw, very nice writeup on CHA -1, ill give you 5 points if it covers
