You're a Laker fan so maybe you know more than I do... will the Lakers play hard tonight knowing that they might face the Nuggets in the playoffs and also because these two teams have had a history? They didn't play hard against the Spurs sunday so I don't see any reason to believe they will be motivated tonight.Comment -

Ive already stated why i like the nuggets last night. But again, i really think they are starting to hit their stride once again after a bad streak of games. They play great at home and i the past 2 times lakers have came to denver they've gotten blowout. I thought you had your mind up already though

The lakers will give it their all tonight. This is the most important game remaining for the lakers. The lakers took the season series from the nuggets last year 3-1, and the nuggets lead them 2-1 this year. They cannot give the nuggets that confidence going into the playoffs, because it can certainly come back to haunt them if they end up meeting up playing one another in the playoffs, which is highly likely.

I liked LA last night but i waited all day and had the chance to get 2.5 and passed. Now my guy is asking me to pick the winner and denver really needs this game and we never know what to expect from LA.Comment -

I can definietly make arguements for both sides. But i like denver because they need a win, just like in OKC they came to play and OKC is one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now.I really think emotionally they will come out huge. The only thing that the lakers have going for them is that they have kobe. You know the kobe will come out every single game and play and thats not the case with gasol and odom. Odom could be one of the best players in the league but he is not consistent and gasol is a pussy.Comment -

Denver is in the same situation as OKC was in last night coming off a tough game and now facing a good team but the diff is if LA wants it. Everything i saw in the Laker interviews last night indicated they are gonna be serious tonight. The Nuggets are used to the thin air to take advantage of their opponent who usually come in on a b2b but its the reverse tonight.Also Melo hasnt been getting many ft's lately so maybe the refs will help the nugs tonight. The thing with the lakers is if they show up tonight they aint losing at the end they will win. If they dont show up they lose big. If you guys remember last time into Denver the Lakers were playing on a b2b and were handling the nugs until ht and then got blown away 2nd hf.Comment -
Lakers soft as jelly, Kobe shooting like my grandmother and not giving up the rock, Artest playing like shite. Fisher! (Nothing needs to be said here) Only Gasol and Odem can save them from a loss tonight. Also revenge factor for the blowout might come into play. it didnt last game in february so this is out the window for me.
Will the b2b be detrimental to Denver though, and carmelo getting knocked out last night couldnt help. But he played the final quarter which tells me they want to win heading into the playoffs.

Guys your really looking at this the wrong way. LA is more motivated for this game than they have been all season. Kobe is completely focused. There are serious ramifications for the lakers if they lose this game, or at least, if they don't put in the effort. Phil's media conference about him "not showing his cards" is merely a tactic he's using to take the pressure off his team. Don't let it fool you. Sorry Goat - no hardcore analysis from me. I'm leaning to LA SHOULD win if they want to prove anything to anyone because of some of their piss poor performances of late. Will they? Fukked if I know.
But I am NOT putting my money on the Nuggets against a hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, motivated Lakers team. I'd rather sit it out and protect my money then go against LA in this one game in particular.Comment -
