does anone else here wait for the last possible second to make your bets?
seems to me everyone here tries to bet as soon as the line is available
then if you play a favorite your happy as all hell if the number keeps going up while i'd rather it went up as high as possible and take the dog
    at the last possible second
    anyone else?
    pros and cons?

I sometimes wait till the last minute for a couple of reasons. Sometimes my funds are all tied up with other wagers. Although, the main reason I wait most of the time is because I get sometimes maximize my value by waiting.

On the flipside, if you know you're getting a line that may go up/down against your side, thus affecting you negatively, then jump early.

For instance a hypothetical, Kevin Durant's ankle is in questionable and the line sits at 4.5 against New Mex St. in the 1st round. I jump on it as early as possible, because I know that A) there's a 50/50 chance Durant plays and B) even if he doesn't, the only way that line is moving is higher, so it won't fall below 4-4.5, and I still think TX wins by 4.5. Then, if Durant comes back, say the line jumps to -7 or 7.5 or higher... I see what you;re saying, and I take it that you play the dog the majority of the time... But, on plays where I see a significant line change is possible, or when I just think that the line is too far off or the public may drive it away from me (make it more unfavorable for me) than I want to hop on early.

The only time I usually wait until the last minute is during football season. I find I get the best number that way.

During hoops season I make bets at different points during the day.

I often wait until the last minute. But I do try to get a sense of where the line is moving throughout the day.

                    I hear ya bud.

Usually the chasers will drive up the line for you most of the time.

It completely depends on the line and what # I am looking for.

Pull the trigger when you get the line and value you are looking for
