Hey guys I'm knew to sports betting and I was thinking doesn't -7.5 mean to win by at least 8 points? If thats true then what does -8 mean and why are the odds different? I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks a lot!

If you take -8 and the team won by 8 points it results in a push. That means you will get your money back (not win anything but not lose anything).
If you take -7.5 and the team won by 8, you win the wager.
If you take -8.5 and the team won by 8, you lose the wager.Comment -
