Had some College basketball games cooking yesterday. Tennessee -11 was a loss. BYU -3.5 covered by a half point.
About Tenn, have not seen a top 10 basketball team at home start a game 2-12 from the 3 point line, despite this, they had a 3 point lead at the half. 2nd half began and within 3 minutes Tenn was down double digits. Home team had no energy, The juice that was expected, Kentucky turned that momentum around and actually won the game with two of its main dudes out. Enough about that trashy performance.
Lets talk about the Pros today.
Game 1
Looking at this "Battle of the scrubs" game. Brooklyn nets +2.5 VS Charlotte Hornets -2.5.
It's going to be interesting to see how this one plays out. Brookly has key forwards that are out, meanwhile Charlotte has key Guards that are also out. Top headline reads Brooklyn looking to stop 7 game losing streak, I think they get it done today vs a very bad Hornets team who's strength is that guard play. Nets come out hungry and take advantage of weak guard play that Charlotte with put out tonight.
NETS +2.5 is the play.
Game 2
Looking at this Los Angeles Clippers-4 vs San Antonio spurs +4
Clippers looking to bounce back from a loss to the Phx Suns. Love this clippers team, they have a strong bench, decent starters, some all pros looking like their old selves, others recovering from injuries, and they are getting ready for a 2nd half season push. No doubt Clippers are a strong playoff team that have the ability to go far in the playoffs. San Antonio plays very loose. Their roster of young players play risky basketball by taking wild 3 pointers, and superman ugly shots. Don't think this one is going to be very close. Visualizing Los Angeles playing tight basketball limiting turnovers, rebounding well,taking good shots, and locking down the spurs on D. Spurs team still very young, they are talented and have the ability to have unbelievable games, but that happens less often than one thinks.
