    Play Pistons vs Clippers
    Play Pistons -8½ vs Clippers

    Game Time: 2/12/2007 7:30:00 PM
    By: Bob Harvey

Look for the Detroit Pistons to continue their recent dominance over the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at The Palace.

The Clippers wrap up their seven game road trip tonight against the Pistons.

LA lost yesterday in Indiana dropping to 8-16-1 against the spread on the road and 1-4 in their last five. Scoring has been a big problem for the Clips, especially away from home. They've scored 80, 90 and 77 points respectively in their last three outings and that could spell big trouble against the Pistons who rank fourth in the NBA in two key defensive categories: Points allowed (93.2) and FG% (44.2%).

With the Clippers playing back-to-back nights and at the end of a long roadie, this looks like a great spot to grab the Pistons.

    Play: Detroit -8½

    Back Pistons -8 vs Clippers

    Game Time: 2/12/2007 7:30:00 PM
    By: Bill Young

With Chris Webber providing a spark, play the Detroit Pistons at home tonight against the LA Clippers.

The Pistons are riding their longest winning streak of the season. Chris Webber has stepped up big time for this squad in hopes of making his first appearance in the NBA Finals this season. They take on the Clippers who have been everything but spectacular on the road.

Los Angeles is 8-18 on the road this year and 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games. The Clippers are 2-6-1 against the spread in their last nine meetings with Detroit.

The favorite in this series is 8-2-1 against the spread in the last 11 meetings. The Clippers are 3-13-1 against the spread in their last 17 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600.

The Pistons are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games following an against the spread loss. Take Detroit here and lay the points.

    Play: Detroit -8

      Detroit -8 vs LA Clippers

      Game Time: 2/12/2007 7:30:00 PM
      By: Larry Ness

With their eyes already set on the NBA Finals, back Detroit tonight when the Pistons host the Los Angeles Clippers.

Don't look now but the Pistons (31-18) own the best record in the East! They enter this game against the Clippers on a six-game winning streak, outscoring their opponents by an average margin of 12.3 points per game.

Chris Webber has been the catalyst, averaging 15.8 points through the first five games of the streak before an off night (just eight points) in the team's Saturday win vs Toronto. Detroit is 10-2 with Webber in the starting lineup.

The Clippers are wrapping up a season-high seven-game road trip here and enter just 2-4 in the first six games. The Clippers have dropped seven straight games to the Pistons and have lost 12 of their last 13 meetings in Detroit. The Clips have struggled all season on the road, going 8-18 (7-17-2 against the spread) and there's little reason to think they'll play well here. Lay the points with Detroit.

      Play: Jazz -8

Are you serious? You're taking the moneyline on the Clippers?
          For real?

I love the Pistons myself here and made them one of my plays in the Parlay thread. Should I be worried now with this huge consensus?

Dan I am not in the habit of playing big chalk, but I see Detroit winning this game by about 15 points. See Parlay of the Day thread for my reasoning.

                                Line Drop

Elton Brand is not playing, that is why the line jumped to 10.5 from 8.5
